Coast to Coast Car Buying Tips

Hi everyone,

I'm about to make a car purchases from a fourm member on the S2KI board. I'm here on the west coast, and he is on the east coast. I was just wondering if you guys have some car buying tips you can recommend. I'll be flying out there within the next couple of days.

Anything would help. (tips, things to watch for, laws to be aware of... etc..)

Thanks!!

p.s. I'm not jumping the wonderful CL ship.. Just buying another toy w/ 3 pedals this time..

What state is the car in? Is it really worth traveling 3000 miles to buy a car, cant you just get one in your area

The car is in VA... For the price and what it has install, it's worth it! plus he is letting me deduct shipping cost from the final agree upon price.

The car has pretty decent milage for an 01.. so I don't feel like putting 3000 miles on it right off the bat...
