Probably fair considering the molding involved. I got estimates to paint & install the RJ body kit and it ranged from $1000 with a good local shop recommended by members here, $1500 from Acura and $2000 from a very high end shop.

Thanks it actually wasn't that bad only thing that sucks us that the rear lip leaves the gaps of the exhaust cut out on the rear bumper

i don't get it?? u going to leave the rear lip like that??? i'd cut it so the hole for the exhaust is just larger. that gap would just eat away at me

i agree. not sure what his plan is.

OP: here is my how-to for the kit. the rear is similar to the front and will not leave those massive gaps.

i would cut it so the cutout around the exhaust continues gradually.. obviously then ur gonna have a differnt gap on the inner edges.. i'd just try and build them up manually either with fiberglass or som e epoxy resin.. then sand it down and smooth it out. and i'd add tabs in that area too cause it's gonna be flopping around after u cut it.

then u'll need to paint it again.. or u if u don't scratch anything.. u can just paint that area black around the exhaust cause it's not terribly visible anyways... that's what i'd do in ur situation

Yo I actually saw a local CL owner over here, I'm 99.9% sure he has the exact same lip kit as you. The rear lip he just installed higher up on the bumper to cover the stock bumper exhaust cut-out if that makes any sense

im debating on getting this kit, i think my car is too low for ronjon and would be scraping on the front all day long. even though its fiberglass i love this front 100 times better than the OEM front lip everyone has used. i like how this front comes up high on the sides and hides the bumpers curve when looking at it strait on. rear i'd cut into 3 sections and again IMO the OEM rear just doesnt look like it belongs on the CL like it flows so well on the TL, id probably mold both front and rear lips and get bumpers repained, they could use it.

This front is just like the 02-03 front lip, your probably referring to the 99-01 lip that mostly everyone has. I agree with your comment about the rear I have the OEM on my car now but I will soon be switching it for the Versus rear because to me it looks better than the OEM. I'm not sure you can cut the fiberglass and make it come out good after the fact.

i understand the difference between those 2 lips, but this ebay one is different, it comes up around the fog lights, when looking at the lip on the car from the side it comes down pretty strait, where as the OEM kit looks like <

Now I get what your talking about but I guess its a matter of opinion I don't really like the straightness of the ebay kit I like the OEM front lip better but to each their own.
