Broken Cup Holder

So, the my cup holder only opens halfway now -- not enough to get a cup in there. It looks like one of the rails is bent or off its track or something. Does anyone know how to get the console open so I can fix it? I can't seem to find documentation about this anywhere on the Internet. Thanks!

How many miles you have on the car??? If it's still under warranty, take it back to your local Ac dealer, they will probably give you a new one!!!

What year car do you have??

Suspect Dealership

It's a 2001 CL TYpe-S. It's still under warranty, but the Santa Monica dealership is saying that it might be broken because of a pen that made its way into the hinge area. I highly doubt that, and suspect that they just don't want to take the time to fix it (they told me that it couldn't be done on a Saturday -- I'd have to leave the car there during the week, which I can't do due to work). Also, I can forsee a scenario where I do leave the car with them, and then they say there was a pen in there (when there's not) and charge me a lot of money. Sigh.

I don't see how you staying at the dealership would be of any significant bearing. Even if you insisted, I highly doubt that they will let you into the service area and stand watch over the mechanic. You will be regulated to the reception area. Just drop it off, go to work, and hope for the best when you pick it up.

Cup holder

It's a 2001. I know there must be a way to open up the whole middle console of the car -- that's what the dealership's gonna do. I wish I could find some documentation that shows how to do that...
