Yeah mine always has, it always seems like my car is just a little more powerful than a stock one. It does it with both my 19 and 17 inch rims

yea i get the chirp going from 1st to 2nd depending on how u mash the pedal. ESPECIALLY if ur on a turn.. the wheel jumps left to right when going from 1st to 2nd.

I got a video on PHOTOBUCKET.com under the profile CL-SPorgression01

let me know how fast my car is in comparison to urs. Prolly close from the sounds of it.

FYI i am CHIRPING in the video cause i did that run after an ecu reset and it did nothing as my car pulls that hard all the time and I wanted to prove it to some Aziners, that the ecu reset is a hit or miss, depending on the car i guess

Same here. Now that my clutch is slipping I can barely chirp 2nd.

But a lot of it has to do with what kind of tires u have and the road conditions. I used to chirp 3rd at the 1/4mile track when I sprayed. Peeled out all the way to 4th on the street when I sprayed. Also, maintanace is key for these cars to run stong and long

in my old 01 CL-S, I used to shirp into 2nd only off the drive right after starting the car, then that was it, no more till the next time I started her.

My 03 CL can keep screeching through 2nd as long as I press the gas when I have my 19" DT3 wheels and 225/35/19 tires Nitto Neogen tires.

But with my 255/35/18 Pirrelli's and Legend wheels, I can barely get a chirp out of 2nd gear at all. Grip is awesome, it just hooks up and goes. Even with the blower!

depends on the road condition, I can chirp to second easily probably because my tires suck but on different roads I can chirp to 3rd

MANTIS!! . . . you old dog. Good to see you're still lurking around.

Still working in the area? If so let's do a lunch sometime.

As for the motor mounts . . I'll hit up Josh and see what's up. We should be really close on getting the new mounts.

Oh, yeah . . . back on to the thread. Mine chirps and if I punch it in 1st around 20-30 it'll even spin the tires nicely . . or not so much as it wears them down sooner. Not bad for an N/A AT.

put it in "1" (gate shift) and move it over to "2" at about 6600rpm that way when it does switch u will be at around 6700-6800rpm (where we make peak hp). or u can just leave it in d5 and floor the shit out of it.

Mine does too some of the time if the conditions are just right

I thought ever one chirped 2nd p or s

Also I dont think you need to take VSA off to chirp only too spin in second

I think this thread is a good indication who the crazy drivers ie. the ones that know it chirps in to second LOL

Not a spacer. It attaches to the intake and before the air filter. In the case of the example of the one in the URL below the filter installs over it.

http://www.inlinefour.com/blvest.html

Note, the Comptech Icebox uses this same approach. In my case, not only do I have the CT Icebox, but I've attached a velocity stack to the end of my ram-air. I gained almost 2ths at the track with this set up.

Usually turbo'd or high HP N/A motors. Most track Civics dont have air filters, just a velocity stack. Also used on ITBs. Theyre incredibly simple and effective.

If there are 4 velocity stacks those are ITBs. If theyre on the front of the engine bay poking through the hood, dont even bother racing them. They have a K series, and even in the heavier EK chassis they still run 13s at the absolute least. If they have ITBs though, chances are at least the head has been built, so they should be in the 12s or faster depending on chassis and if they can drive.

dont know hard hard it is to tune those cars but, there usally the fastest little civics there. The go down the track snaping poping making all kinds of f@#$ed up sounds and they're fast.

I have found mine will chirp 2nd every time using sportshift - probably due to the quicker shift. Also, i notice it gives a harder jerk with the chirp after fresh oil (seriously). Makes regular changes that much more enticing.

When I bought mine it would with the stock Michelins but after wider tires not too much. Conditions have to be just right.

Quick Reply: Anyone's AUTO N/A CL chirp 2nd?
