May seem a little bit unnecessary to some of you, but do you think it could ever be possible to change the alarm beep you hear when you activate it? If it is, then the only reason I'd want to change it is to get something a bit louder. Sometimes when I'm in a parking lot and I hit the lock button on my remote, I can barely hear the alarm kick on unless I'm pretty close to it.

I don't think you could change the beep but I would just say get a new alarm.

Ehh, may not be a bad idea. Been thinking about getting a proximity alarm for awhile.

I like the beep over the horn as well, it's a little more discrete, just like the CL is.

Maybe mine is just louder than normal, but the beep my cl makes is loud than I first expected, to me that is. Any louder I'd be asking myself why. I can hear it at my buddy's apartment 8 stories up parked 100ft away, that's being generous.

Yours may just be quiter than others? if that's even possible. Or we have completely different perspectives of what "easy to hear" is. Or I got some wicked hearing or something, but I doubt it. If I remember correctly when my mom had a CL the beep was identical, so I highly doubt mine is any louder than normal.

Are you parking in the city with lots of chaos going around in underground parking, then I could understand. lol

I can hear the beep from as far as the signal will go. (given there's no ambient noises). Would anyone else agree?

The beep sound isn't much of a wake-up but does to job for my likings.

my beep is a Lil on the quiet side also. Would rather have it louder like the toyota/lexus beep.

I didn't say I wanted a horn toot, just said I wanted the beep to be louder. I do prefer the beep since people look at me like I'm a douchebag when I have a car that honks the horn when I turn on the alarm

Change it to a tiger growl!

Viper has this add-on where you can record pre-set messages to play when certain alarms go off.

I was laughing at all the possibilities if you were trying to mess with a car and it started yelling at you!
