Undeer the hood, on the passenger side, you'll see a silver box with brake lines going to it. This is the VSA Module. Try pulling the wire harness from it, then see what happens.

Thanks. It took me a while but I figured out how to open the hood and cut that big mess of wires and hoses next to the silver thingy with my hedge clippers. I'll try it out tomorrow morning. It's my turn to drive the kids to school and there's some nice hills and twisties on the way there so I can test this mod out. I'll let you guys know how it works out.

Thanks again for the help.

Call me crazy, but I don't know if I would cut brake lines and then test it by driving my kids to school in the twisties.

Wire a latch or a buffer to the switch and connect it's power to a 5V supply that doesn't turn off when the car turns off. Wire the latch between the switch on/off button and it will save the state of the button when the car is off.

You can pick up discrete latches or 4 pin latch PLC packages from Radio Shack.

I have used this method to save states of buttons previously, but you may want to remove the switch and apply an external power source and make sure it works before you replace it.
