Local philly peeps know this, but let me announce it to everyone else. I have been trying to sell my car for about a year now, always finding some 'excuse' to keep it. First it was too big of a depreciation hit, then it was the question of what else will I get and can afford but tonight after driving my friends s2k, this car is just not that much fun anymore.


Dont get me wrong, its a beautiful comfortable automobile, perfect for pimping and rollin but as far as fun to drive and fast, it is just not that. This is a very nice GT car and thats about it. And today is two years since I bought it, a bit ironic I guess that I came to that conclusion today. I am a bit upset that I made this car choice but I have been extremelly lucky that I have been able to afford such a nice car at a fairly young age (22). But my luck has expired as I have been unemployed for some months now so I have been really trying to sell the car due to financial reasons.

I guess it's hard to compare a CLS to an S2k, but it allows me to understand what I would look for in a car and CLS just does not have that. Overall, my CLS ownership experience has been very valueable for future car purchases.


However, this board has been outstanding and Im glad I have been and continue to be a part of it. Thanks everyone, especially those responsible for putting this community together.

So I am not out of the 'club' yet, just paving grounds.

This is my little sobby story and I am sticking to it.

johnny were you coming out of benny the bums parking lot on bustleton at like 1145-12? I saw a dropped silver cl with tint and it was rollin out of the parking lot with an S2000 (not sure). I was in my boys white 300zx.

Yep, that was me, and I was trying to catch up to that Z to try to run at it but you guys turned. Yes, it was my boys s2k that I drove 2night.

that thing was hot We went up to Neshaminy Interplex tonight. Thats where the new location is since best buy hasn't worked out for a long time. There was a viper, 02 M3, eclipse on bags, there was alot of hot shit there. If you don't got shit to do on a sunday night ride up there.

Dude, we were there too. Lots of rice but also lots nice cars as well. We rolled out of there at like 11 something to go do some runs.
Did not see a viper, but saw the M3s, there were two silvers with lip spoilers.

we were there from like 8:45 till like 10pm. I saw a black S2000 there, rims, kit, exhaust, chromed out engine. Was that your friends car? Didn't see any CL's. We jetted when the po po chopper came and started chasin someone on the blvd. We thought it was someone racin so we bounced. Alot of gay shit there but there were some PHAT rides. It was aiight tho

Pimp always talkin shit about the CLS Eh, fun is good but stuck in a small interior that is loud....a la, S2k will get old VERY fast.

Wait a minute boys. I never said I was gonna get an s2k. I am just saying that I am bored of the CLS. Once I sell the CLS, I wont be able to afford much, but it will certainly include a manual tranny.


Marc: Damn dude, how is it that I did not see you? We walked around the whole lot and no, the Chromed out s2k was not my friends, but we did stop by to talk to the dude. I dont agree with some of the choices he made for the ride, like his rims and the whole chrome theme, but thats his perogative.
We were cruising the blvd in the opposite direction as we saw cops screaming towards Neshaminy.

I have no clue how i missed you either. We walked around the lot twice. We were to the left when you first come in, we were kinda parked away from all the action. but still just hung out, talked to some people and It was my first time up there, it was kinda cool. maybe ill catch up wit you next week

i was real close to tradin in my cl for a s2k, but after talking with some s2k owners, they hate the fact that the car had no torque....they say in order to get some pickup outta the car was to spin the tires, and that's not always a good thing, especially when your at a red light...it just attracts too much attention (s2k owners opinion, i agree)...they told me a lot of them are always playing "catch-up" with the V6's...and for that reason i wouldn't appreciate the s2k as much after coming from a V6 CL-S.....but would be in love with it if my previous car was something like a celica...

p.s. i think the thread name at s2ki.com was 350Z vs. S2k....

I guess I did not fully explain myself. Its not that I want an s2k in particular, its just that after I drove a car like that, the CLS is pretty much boring in comparison. Giving my financial situation, I cant afford much so if I sell the CLS i would be looking for something in the range of up to 12-14Gs. It would need to be stick shift, handle decently and fairly quick. This would obviously be a used vehicle.
