Adding Bluetooth to 2001 Acura CL-S with Nav

Hi guys,

I have a question I was hoping you can help me with. I have a 2001 Acura CL-S with Navigation that I would like to add bluetooth functionality too. All of the GROM units need a CD changer port to interface with the head unit. Do CLs with Nav have that cd changer port available on the stock headunit?

I appreciate the help. Thanks in advance!

They have a port.

Use to have an iPod dock that plugged into the back of mine until upgrading to the AppRadio so I can run iPhone apps it.

I know this isn't what you're asking, but I thought I'd recommend a couple alternatives.

If you're already planning to spend $150, then a little bit more would buy you a double-din receiver with all of the newer features, as well as better hardware for sound output.

Also, there are many aftermarket rearview mirrors that have integrated backup camera LCDs in them that also come equipped with Bluetooth. This probably isn't an option for you if you're looking for music quality, but would be suitable for phone calling.

Just a thought,

those are the two units I used with my 03 Legacy and formerly 02 CL type S. Worked great and I could move them around as needed... both have FM transmitters and auto scanned. Now I drive something a lot newer that has BT built into it.
