eBay GNS Dual Pillar Pod

Anyone have one of these? It says it replaces the whole a-pillar trim which is what I want but the picture could be deceiving. . .

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/01-03...item5633f2fc1d

If not any other suggestions or does anyone know of other a-pillar pods that replace the stock trim?

Ask for a couple more pics.
It does not even show how the pods are mounted or the whole pillars fitment.
Usally when you buy things where they show half ass pictures their is a reason why,and it's not for the buyers benefit.

I did ask for more pics but didn't get a response. . . that's what I was thinking and why I'm hesitating a lot on buying this. I'm looking around for other ones but haven't been able to find anything.

"This pod design will completely cover the lower portion of the factory pillar - not just the mid-section. So there is no unsightly lower seam."

So does that mean there is an upper seam?? Why not just say it replaces the whole trim if that is what it does??

I dont see a seam in the picture posted. You can always email them. One positive of going through them is you can order it pre-painted for $8 extra.

Im trying to figure out why Vivid racing wants so much more then Lotek themselves for what Im assuming is the same part.

Get it done custom with your OEM pillar

Cost a bit more but at least the fitment will be perfect.

That does look sweet but I'm not sure I want to spend that much. I'm stretching every dollar as it is. . . I could wait but I've been in a serious modding drought and want to get some stuff done!

this pillar is black i ordered it last year.. it fits pretty well i guess aside from the fact u need to use screws to hold it to the pillar frame of the car. it's a little bit short tho as u;ll notice if u buy it.. u;ll see the bottom should be about 1 cm longer but it isn't noticeable

i painted the passenger side oem pillar black so it matches and it looks sexy... everyone loves the gauges.

lol even my dad asked about them... and he couldn't care less about cars

I e-mailed Lotek they said "It’s a full a-pillar and made to cover the existing unit. It attaches with two screws.". I guess if it has to be screwed in anyway why not just get the GNS one and save the stock piece. Which is what I think I'll do.

Im sure you can attach the pods using contact cement or some other adhesive so you dont need to use ugly ass screws.

If there are, since you have to paint it anyway (the GNS one posted that is), you could always fill them with a small dab of bondo. Either way, keep us posted.

Took what pillar off the stock one? Put what one on the GNS one or the Lotek one? I know you have the GNS one . . .

The holes aren't pre-drilled on the Lotek pod so I'm going to order that one and see how it overlays. If the fitment is good I'll just glue it on the stock pillar trim piece.

yea i think i got the gns.

i have no clue how u'd keep the oem one on there and have it fit flush. wasn't even an option for me

the screws don't even bother me anymore, just make sure they are black and you won't notice

I just ordered the Lotek pod. An important note if anyone else is interested in buying it without the holes drilled you'll have to include: "Do Not Drill Mounting Holes" in the special instructions box when you enter credit card info.

The Lotek pod came in and I installed it today. I would upload pics but the forum won't let me for some reason; possibly its having trouble re-sizing the photos. Anyway the pod is supposed to overlay but it would have been extremely tight (like a tiger ) so I took my stock pillar off. I used two sided tape and velcro to mount it and it came out awesome fitment is excellent and color matches very well.
