No way I'd do this, especially on an engine with unknown miles. Very likely that that tensioner will fail before the next TB change is due.

BBY had the Rand McNally TPMS on sale for $50 about a month ago. I snagged it at that price and it seems to work fine. The BT interface unit holds a charge for a long time, ~2 weeks or more.
