yeah i am impressed with Jodi. no surprising bills and what not. I will probably take my car there for regular oil changes now instead of a local shop here.

Let me know how everything goes with the recall

Phambam12 02-28-2012 04:06 PM

anyone know where i can get a cheap snowboard roof rack? the downside of the TL is the backseats do not fold down

timsta 02-28-2012 10:58 PM

yeah i've had to just put my board in the back seat and but cushion on the seats lol.. but for a cheap rack i would look on ksl.. you won't find a whole complete set for cheap so just do it by the parts.

timsta 03-22-2012 07:49 PM

has anyone or anyone that wants to... want to do the accord fog light mod??

datplayaz 03-23-2012 05:38 PM

I've done it before on my TL.

timsta 03-24-2012 06:29 AM

nice dat. i am buying the set and going to attempt to do it myself

datplayaz 03-24-2012 08:47 AM

It's not that hard, you'll be fine.

Did you get a chance to do your fogs yet?

timsta 04-23-2012 01:04 PM

no not yet. im still shopping around for the OEM ones. ebay seller had them for 100 now they are 150..

I've read other threads and some say they didn't have a problem with non OEM ones.. just don't know what ones to go with just yet

datplayaz 04-23-2012 02:10 PM

I remember when I had my TL, a lot of sellers on Ebay was selling the none oem ones but they were made out of glass. And that's something you'd want to avoid because rocks will crack the glass, it might be worth it to spend a little more that's OEM.

timsta 04-25-2012 10:22 PM

yeah i will keep shopping around..

dat your car is sexy :)

datplayaz 04-26-2012 05:14 PM

Thanks, it's slowly getting there, wheels will be here in a month :woot:

timsta 04-27-2012 11:57 AM

what wheels are you putting on??

datplayaz 04-27-2012 01:27 PM

22" VIP Modular's.

timsta 04-27-2012 11:20 PM

nice man. had to google those to see what they look like!

datplayaz 04-28-2012 07:58 AM

Yeah, they haven't been around too long but now they are hitting the car scene pretty hard, in fact I think a couple of TL's on this forum including the purple one is rocking them.

timsta 05-25-2012 03:27 PM

what's up utah, since the weather will be getting nice soon I think we should cruise or just have a meet up. my car is stock but im down to kick it lol

datplayaz 05-26-2012 10:50 AM

Depending on the day I might be able to stop by :)

timsta 06-01-2012 02:48 PM

yeah not too many people post here now lol

Gilgamesh 06-01-2012 03:42 PM

Wish I could join up...maybe in a little while. I miss cruises and cars & coffee...

losiglow 06-21-2012 12:18 PM

Hey Utah peeps. Figured I'd pay a visit here. Been posting on AZine for a while but never visited the regional forum. Mostly hang out on the general 3G TL forum and performance mods areas. I never seem to see anyone from Utah posting in the general and performance 3G TL forums so it's good to see a few are out there.

Native Utahn. I live in Eagle Mountain, work in the SL valley. My avatar is my TL in the U of U parking lot :P

timsta 06-22-2012 11:41 PM

welcome losiglow. i am from northern utah. not too many tl's here either. i have a few friends with tl's other than that i see mom's driving the cars lol

DREAMSTAH 08-01-2012 12:39 AM

I guess nothing ever happened here for the meet sucks summer is almost over lol

timsta 08-03-2012 02:47 PM

yeah it never happened. no one hardly posts here anymore

datplayaz 08-06-2012 06:08 PM

It's exactly the same over in the UT section on ClubLexus, but I managed to bug everyone I know on the forums and got the word around that there was a Lexus meet, and surprisingly there was about 25+ Lexus's showed up. So someone should do the same in here and set one up, people will show up even if that means I have to be there lol.

Paul05TL 10-12-2012 08:57 PM

Just picked up my TL a few weeks ago, and have lurked but finally decided to join up!

DREAMSTAH 10-12-2012 10:08 PM

Congrats and welcome!

Paul05TL 10-17-2012 01:53 AM

Thanks, too bad the nasty weather is soon approaching......itchin to get a TL cruise/meet going. I'm free most weekends if any other TL's wanna get together for a little photoshoot or something. All i have is driveway pictures so far which is odd.

d1sturb3d119 10-18-2012 01:52 PM

Been lurkin on a bunch of threads for over a year now and the car is finally close to what I want it to be... Wouldn't mind checking out a few other finished rides in SLC... Not too many modified ones around.

timsta 10-26-2012 11:52 AM

mine just has drop and tint. you have a TL?

Phambam12 10-26-2012 02:46 PM

Have any pictures of the plasti dipped wheels?

I wanna pick some up and do the grill/wheels but still debating on if I should or not. Previous owner was a chick and she curbed the rims up pretty bad so I figure black would make it less noticeable until I pick up new stockers or go with another set.

DREAMSTAH 11-19-2012 11:25 PM

Once i add them to the lat top ill be sure to post some, just been busy with work lately. Did you still end up plasti - dipping yours?

Paul05TL 11-23-2012 01:25 AM

Yeah I ended up just doing it haha.

Started a thread in the 3g gallery you can see mine in there, but ended up doing the wheels and front grill. Turned out pretty good and covered up the curb rash so I am satisfied :)

losiglow 11-27-2012 01:47 PM

^ I was going to plastidip mine as well (Stock UA6's) but forked it out for some Enkei RPF01's to drop some weight.

What tires is everyone sporting for winter comming? Just picked up a couple new DWS's since I'd worn the front one's down after two years of "spirited" driving :)

Paul05TL 11-28-2012 03:38 AM

Nice, I am going to pick up a set once I find the right ones that fit the TL just haven't really looked around.....and the curb rashed stockers made the car look horrible so gonna rock it till spring then throw on some new rims.

As for tires, I have decently new Uniroyal Tiger Paw GTZ All Seasons.......hope they will do okay as I have never used them in winter, but coming from a bmw/mustang and driving them daily for many winters im sure ill be good lol.

DaphneLCC 11-28-2012 01:43 PM

i just got some michelin mxm4s for my tsx.

how do you like the DWS? i was looking at those but got a decent deal on these michelins so stuck with 'em....

I like em. They're a compromise on handling due to the soft sidewall. But they grip very well in the winter and aren't bad at all in the summer. I'd say they're just about as good as the Blizzaks I used to sport on my Accord as far as snow and ice go. But once they lose the "W" on the "DWS" lettering they basically turn into racing slics. They're still decent in the rain but totally a no-go in the snow.

I'm pretty critical of tires but I'd recommend these. Although they're not as good as separate sets of dedicated winter/summer tires, they're the next best thing. And they're relatively inexpensive.
