I am looking for a good mechanic to do a timing belt+ water pump, etc.. on my wifes 2006 TL, 74K on it. I would prefer Colorado Springs metro area as I live in Monument, but would be willing to go to Denver if necessary. Or if there is a local wrencher who could come to my place.

how come you're looking to do those services with only 74k on the TL?

I am nervous about the belt going. I could probably wait another 10-15k, but don't want to risk it. I would rather have peace of mind and be done with it than have to do a major 2-5k repair on the engine.

Heres a shocker! Since this post was moved from the main discussion group to the regional community group I have absolutely ZERO FEEDBACK! Thanks mods I was also targeting those who are no longer in the area but may have some insight into who they would recommend based on past experience while living here. Those people will not be looking at a regional forum posting in which they no longer live. Also some people may have heard by word of mouth or a friend in the area, but do not live here. Yes I did a few searches on this and came up with nothing.

Timing belt can last up to 105k or 7 years whichever comes first on newer Hondas. If you want, I have a co-worker who can do it for $500 parts and labor. He is a master ASE certified tech. He lives in the Highlands Ranch area see it'll be a tad shorter drive then to Denver. Let me know if you are interested. He's done numerous timing belts on Hondas, and he has done it on my 03 Accord V6.

If you haven't already done it, check out A & H Autocare (303.400.
9695) off of Arapahoe Road and Jordan (southern Denver area, near Parker). They've done about 90% of the work on our Hondas and Acuras.

Im in the Springs and I take all my Honda/Acuras to Hondaworks. Bill is a great guy and does an amazing job. I wouldnt take my cars anywhere else. Let me know if you need his info.

Took my car in for a timing belt replacement to Advantage Auto Service and Repair in Colroado Springs. Shop is listed as Acura/Honda & Lexus Toyota specialists. Shop was clean and neat. Job was done within a day. Everything seems to be fine. Price was on the lower end of the shops in this area. As I do oil changes/other routine maintenance, I'll update this post with my impressions, but so far, I'm satisfied.
