Colorado shops/dealerships?

I was curious if you guys had any certain shops and dealerships that you've had success with.

I recently got my TL slightly messed up by someone else and need some body work (front bumper replacement/paint) and was wondering what a good dealership would be to go to. I was thinking Courtesy Acura off Broadway, but was wondering if you guys had any opinions.

Also, if/when I do any kind of maintenance/performance work on the car that I can't handle myself, are there any good shops that you'd suggest?

I'm open to most suggestions, but I am mainly in the Denver Metro area (live near Golden and work near C470 & I25). Thanks in advance.

I do work on the side at my shop if you need some things done. I'm off of I-225 and Parker Road.

I'm not positive, but I don't think Courtesy Acura has a body shop.

Well like I said, I need to get a new (carbon bronze pearl) bumper and no actual fixes/repairs. I'm not sure if they ship pre-painted depending on the order, or if they are just sent primered and need to be painted.

As far as performance work, I still need to figure out exactly how much money I want to spend (or if I just want to use it to pay off the car sooner). But I think one of the first things I want to do is get an Unorthodox Racing (stock dia) crank pulley. Though I haven't looked at any DIY's for this yet and don't know the actual difficulty of work.

gfrg, when you say "we can do almost anything," do you mean a shop you work at? Or do you mean all of the work is simple enough to be done by ourselves?

7thGen, what kind of work do you do? Body, mechanical, electrical?

So I called Courtesy Acura, and it sounds like they indeed don't do body work (as timberland mentioned). They referred me to Highlands Ranch Collision Center... anyone have any experience with them?

I don't really care about the cost, since the other guy's insurance is paying for it. I just want an OEM bumper replacement with a brand-new paint job (an clear bra). Thanks for the suggestions... more are welcome.

Just an update on this in case anyone is wondering:

I got the car repaired at ABRA Auto Glass and Body near C470 and Kipling. Originally they said they're repair the cracked bumper since it wasn't visible and would be more for structural support. I was quoted ~$900 for the whole repair/repaint job.

At the end of the second day they said that once the bumper was pulled off, the saw that the bumper mount was actually damaged (right were it tore) and they said that they ordered an aftermarket bumper (at which point I almost flipped out). However, they said it didn't fit right, so they returned it and got an OEM bumper.

After all that, it was done Friday morning (I gave it to them Tuesday morning). The bill came out to be ~$1400 (clear bra included), though I didn't care since I wasn't paying for it.

Expensive, though I must say the quality looks top-notch. The paint job looks as good (if not better) than the original finish. Color match is excellent. The clear bra however was outsourced to some other guy and I was promised that some of the bubbles in it would go away after 1-2 weeks. Seems like they're fading, but not completely gone yet.

If you use this shop, here's a couple hints. DON'T sign the "allow aftermarket parts" paper. I did it thinking they were going to replace some miscellaneous clips and the like, but almost ended up with a shitty bumper.

Do the prep/repair yourself. I had a huge itemized list of things to do in the original bill. Something like:

Remove bumper
Install bumper
Remove Clear bra
Install clear bra
remove fog lights
install fog lights
remove grills
install grills
etc.

Literally every single individual piece of work was itemized and a labor cost was tagged onto it. So suggest to take everything off yourself, have them paint it, and then put it on yourself (if it's on your bill of course).

The price tag was high, but you get what you pay for. Hope this helps.

Anybody wanna help me get my baby up to par? I need to change the pressure switches and clean the solenoids I'm near fort Collins without any tools. I can provide beer or bud if u have a red card and a garage with lots of room.

Glad you got the ride all fixed up Cross Hair. Sucks that someone hit ya, hopefully it doesn't happen again. If you need maintenance work or mods installed, I can personally vouch for 7thGen...he's done pretty much all the work on my car since I bought it back in 2008. Just in case you were wondering. Great work & great prices.

If I'm not doing it myself, I take the car to Hoshi motors in Boulder. They have friendly staff and know what they are doing. I recently got into an accident (damn snow! but thankfully, I was not in my TL) and the guy I hit said he'll go to the Bump Shop to get the work done. I've heard they do good work.

1400 for that work sounds like a lot, I got quoted $295 to repair, sand, and repaint my front bumper in Colorado Springs. Clear bra is in the 500-700 range here.
