Cold air intake & CO emissions test

What's up fellas?

For you guys that have CAI's (Kevin, Thien, etc...), did it negatively affect your emissions test at all? I ordered an AEM v2 that should be on its way soon, and I want to see if this will cause me to fail emissions in CO before I put it on. My gut feeling is that it won't hurt anything, but I want to see from you guys that have experienced it. Thanks.

Zach

It won't do anything to your emissions. Colorado doesn't care about CARB. Emissions places will look to see if you have a CEL and catalytic converters. If you don't have any catalytic converters, they will fail you on a visual.

James can chime in on this.

Thanks a bunch for the re-assurance fellas! Can always count on you guys for quick response. I can't wait to get this damn thing...I don't think it's shipped yet and I ordered it last Wednesday. I bet my gas mileage is gonna suck for the first couple days after install...hahaha!!

Thien - I'll let you know about the install once it shows up.

Are we all still thinking of that Memorial Day mini-meet?

I have to work on Memorial Day. Unless its after 5pm, then I can swing by.

Zach, let me know when you are ready. I personally had the V2 at one point in time, and it gave the car a nice growl and gains. You will definitely feel some gains on it.

I believe the memorial day thing is still on.
Is Thien installing it for free? If not, I would just do it yourself. Very very very simple.

Castle Rock outlet mall is a good idea...several large parking lots there. I went to a Toyota meet there last year just for the hell of it, decent turnout. Plus it's right off I-25
