Went to the Southern Tier Pumpking release party last week, had Pumpking, Warlock and Rumking (rum barrel aged Pumpking) as usual the Rumking stole the show. Not much of a pumpkin fan but I always enjoy that one. Took a growler of their Cherry Cordial home, tastes just like a goddamn chocolate covered cherry, amazing!

This is the same thing I do. I recently resized a whole bunch of updates to post but still have not gotten around to it.

Im moving down South to Texas in a few days and might have gone overboard on these NEIPAís but Iíll miss this style made in my area. I turned my girl into a craft beer monster so it looks like we are set for many months. I picked up fresh Other Half, Hudson Valley, Equilibrium, and Treehouse. And this doesnít include the stouts and barrel aged sours I already boxed up.

Nothing is exactly the same, but I've had a handful of very good NEIPAs/hazies that are made local.

So after that stash is spent (2 weeks (2 hours if me and Maj can figure out where you live and B&E when you're out)) you may find something that fills the need. Any port in a storm and whatnot.

I still have to set it up. Any recommendations? I was thinking of just getting internet unless there is a good promo deal.

So two weeks ago drove up to Asheville for their year end release. It is a Bourbon Barrel stout they do each year called Houtenhammer. They also had saved some 2017 bottles of the release so picked up two of those. Picked up some other things while I was there too.

Also what a good way to finish off Christmas Day.

Some bourbon barrel Houtenhammer last night with some hot brownies and ice cream. Perfect dessert pairing.

Last of all my brother is in Vermont right now skiing and hitting up some of the good breweries. Picked me up a few things while up there.

You live close to Troegs but you never go Define close though cause it was still 1hr 45min one way to go there.

Yeah my Grand Cru was from the cellar. I bought 6 of them last year. Drank 1 last year gave 1 away as a gift. Drank 1 this year gave one as a gift again. Will drink 1 next year but probably save the last for 2-3 years after that.

Been trying to not buy any beer this year as I have too much saved up I need to get through. I did have my brother bring me back that care pack from Vermont though which I only received finally 2 weeks ago.

Couple of bottles I started with from the collection.

This Blackberry Farms saison was particulary good.

Now I have been killing some of my Vermont care package

Thought this would be my favorite. It is very good.

However, this has been my favorite.

So decided this weekend I needed to come up with a better storage method than just a bunch of boxes for my beer cause it made knowing what I had rather difficult and thus I wasn't really drinking up of it other than the IPAs that immediately always went in the fridge.

The stock pile

I had originally cleaned out 5 shelves in our pantry and was going to use those but then decided against that because the shelves appeared to only be held in with nails and plastic brackets. Was not sure that would have heald the weight of a log of glass bottles full of beer. I decided then to clear out two shelves in a storage closet off the kitchen that has wire shelving that mounts to the studs and has a full cross member as well. All the bottles on are on the shelves now except my stouts. I am not sure those are going to fit on the space left on the one half shelf remaining so they may go back in the one kitchen cabinet I have been using. I also had used cardboard to make a smooth shelf for the bottles to sit on but the wire shelves are bowing between supports already so thinking I might need to go get some 1/4in plywood and cut it to size to fit instead so it offers a little more rigid surface.

Still have a bunch of case boxes left unfortunately but at least those are almost exactly what is in them is on the box rather than being mix and match like a lot of the other stuff was.

Nice collection Colts, mine has overflowed the shelves and beer fridge and taken over more of the basement, I need to rearrange my bottled beers. My buddy just gave me everything out of his fridge and sold me 3 more cases, so I'm definitely running out of room lol

Bought a few cases of Westvleteren 12 when I was in Belgium. Went directly to the monastery. A group a few spots ahead of me nabbed the last of the 8

The 12 is great if you like quads
