What well crafted beer is in your refrigerator now?

I know there was a favorite beer thread a while ago, but I'd like to know what people buy in the summer - especially the import/micro fans. I'm more of a dark/strong beer kind of guy, but you see mostly golds, wheats, lagers, pilsners, marzens, and "summer ales" this time of year. Right now, I have parts of three sampler cases: Unibroue (some of the best Belgian style beers made outside of Belgium - Quebec to be exact), Weyerbacher (a great micro company out of Easton PA), and Celis (another great Belgian-style company that went away for a long time and have now resufaced). Favorte choices from the above:

Unibroue case: La Fin Du Monde and especially Trois Pistoles
Weyerbacher case: Scotch Ale and Black Hole (although their Big Beer sampler has better choices like their barley wine and imperial stout)
Celis case: White and Grand Cru

What's in YOUR wallet... I mean fridge?

I just picked up some lakeport Pilsner, but I have different stuff in the fridge all the time. I would say Keiths (as in Alexander Keiths) is what I buy most.

I wanna try Unibroue now.

I'd HIGHLY recommend trying Steamwhistle Pilsner. Comes in a unique green case and is brewed at the Roundhouse in Toronto. It's a really crisp beer, quite "hoppy", and is perfect for BBQ and all summer.

I used to be a Keith's drinker until I tried Steamwhistle. Now Steamwhistle is all I buy.

Every time I recommend that company, people make me repeat the name Dogfish Head. Then they see the labels that look like they were made by a 5th grader, and usually run for the hills.

Yuengling's probably not too common where you are, is it? Here in PA, they have it at pretty much every bar since it's brewed here. It's kiind of my go-to beer if they don't have any interesting micros or imports.

pmptx 08-10-2006 08:18 AM

Fat Tire
Unibroue Fin du Monde
Duvel
Franziskaner
Chimay

However, mostly a wine guy

It got popular all of a sudden a couple years ago, so its very plentiful.

I remember having it in Philadelphia when I was visiting my cousin when I was 18. The brewery in Pottsville? is on my list of stops when I go up north in a month. :yum:

wstevens 08-10-2006 08:38 AM

Fat Tire
Skinny Dip
Dogfish Head 120 min IPA (sent to me from the east coast)
Sleeman's Cream Ale
Riogue Dead Guy Ale

Chief F1 Fan 08-10-2006 08:42 AM

I'm off the beer trying to lose some tonnage. So far so good, esp. coupled w/ lots of bicycle rides.
