So this is where the PMs are coming from.

Stop pestering me guys, I don't sell any liquor, and even if I did I would only do it if I had a valid liquor license. You hear me? NO illegal stuff going on here, move along.

I got moonshine by the keg, message me for details

My liquor cabinet is getting more stocked than ever before. I keep getting samples or having to buy samples for work. Tough.

Latest additions are 2 vodkas. A bottle of Tito's Vodka and Dripping Springs Vodka.

So, back to Cotsco, I was enjoying their 1.75 of Silver tequila, but it wasn't my favorite by a long shot. They just started (at my store) offering a 1L of Kirkland Reposado for around $15. I did not have high hopes based on the Silver, but I was pretty surprised at how good it is. Definitely worth the $15. It's a very nice reposado.

I just wish their tequila bottles had standard spouts. I put a pouring spout (like at the bar) in the tequila bottle (I know, I have a problem) and I cant in the Costco bottles. They are tough to pour out of. I may pour it into an empty 1L of some other tequila...

I just picked up a bottle of OYO Stonefruit at lunch. Love this stuff and the guys who make it are awesome.

Heavy pour, light tonic, splash of lemon = perfection.

I only drink Tequila when it comes to liquor, and I won't buy less than 100% agave. The most surprising thing given the number of varieties I have tried is that this is the smoothest. When it dips below $50, I scoop it up without hesitation.

Maybe someday I will pony up the $140 for one of these because I can only imagine based on the platino.

There's some local stuff.

I've never been into whiskey, but the guys I work with rave about Garrison Brothers. Anyone had it?

If you are going to drop $140 on tequila don't waste your time with the Cuervo. So many better options in that price range.

Such as?

To be clear, regular Cuervo is shit, and I was completely astonished by the quality of the Platino. I am certainly not a noob to tequila, but my budget for it has only recently opened up the possibility of the finest.

I currently only have a "sampler" from a local distillery that my mom gave me. Its 3 1L bottles of vodka, rum, and bourbon. The Bourbon isnt that great, all vodka to me tastes like rubbing alcohol, and a rum that is AMAZING

I need to restock myself on more bourbon, I drank all my good stuff when I was using it as a muscle relaxer when I hurt my back

I'm not bagging on Cuervo's real tequila (just the 51% agave crap). The familia is quite good, however, for that price point there are a bunch of other interesting tequilas.

I like tequila ocho (any of them), asombroso (any of them), Clase Azul, and Casa Noble.

If you aren't experienced in high end tequilas the Don Julio 1942 is a good starter - super smooth and blows your mind if you usually drink lower end tequilas. You do realize it is a little sweeter than others after you branch out but it is always solid. I think it is a little over priced ($94/750ml) but its a great into to others.

Tequila Ocho is awesome. It's a pretty cool concept and everything from them has been solid. Prices are reasonable too.

Thanks. Don Julio (Silver, Rep, & Aņejo) was my parent's go to when I was in high school, and that started me down the path of good tequila in college. I will definitely be on the lookout for some of those when the time comes again (babies consume my life now).

I've had Cazadores. While good, Cuervo Platino is better than Cazadores Silver. Can't say I have had Kirkland.

Don Julio 1942 is my favorite of the higher end tequilas, for every day tequila I prefer Corzo silver or anejo.

I have been drinking the Kirkland Reposado regularly and like it. For $15 a bottle, it's quite a steal.

I would avoid any liquor review page that also includes links to drinking games and college parties. Generally not a good source of objective, qualified liquor reviews.

About to dig into the Frank Sinatra Jack Daniels bottle my GF bought me last month.

i'll report back what I think of it.

debating on opening up My Crown XR or not.. at the prices the older bottles are going for I might have to buy a 2nd bottle before opening this one.
