This is the vacation home mini bar. I go at least twice a year for 2-3 weeks, parent's go 3-4 times a year. This is what it looked like this past August, I left it looking the same since I had already opened a Blue 750, Henny VSOP 1Ltr, Patron 750 and Grey Goose 1.75 Ltr. Kept them in the fridge In the back those are 4.5 Ltr 2 Black label, 1 Dewars 12 and 1 Chivas 12. The old man likes those huge bottles

I was stranded out there for an extra week due to the Hurricane first hitting us the day I was flying back then hitting NY on my re-scheduled flight. Nothing like extended vacation

Picked up a bottle of Bulleit Rye Whiskey today, as well as Martini & Rossi Sweet Vermouth. Who can guess what I'm drinking tonight?

Stoli is really good. Not horribly expense. Good 'vodka' taste.

I did a tasting of about 10 or 15 different vodkas (i posed in some thread the exact number when i did it about 4 years ago) and stoli came first in the blind. If you are going to mix then it doesn't matter what type of vodka. In terms of flavored vodka, nothing beats Hangar. That vodka (and distillery) is the shit. Foie Gras vodka tasting blew my mind.

Anybody had any Greenore 8 year Irish Whiskey? My brother brought it back from Ireland a couple months ago and just gave it to me and said it's pretty highly rated there. As far as I know you can't get it in the states, so my luck I'll really like it and won't be able to easily get any more.

I picked up a bottle yesterday, $24. pretty good, but the bite at the end is a bit too strong for my tastes.

I've been alternating between beer, tequila, and vodka lately. I picked up a bottle of Hangar 1 Kaffir Lime or whatever it's called. Absolutely delicious. I've never been a huge flavored vodka fan, but this is one of the best I've had.

Any recommendations for the Van Gogh line?

Decent vodka. I prefer Hangar. The chipotle makes awesome bloody mary's

I don't have a big stock but right now I'm sipping on some Eagle Rare Bourbon. Man this stuff is so smooth... I have to find the 17 year somewhere, I've got a nice buzz from this 10 year single barrel (whatever that means). I hear its even better.

I love whiskey

Actual photo time, some of the bottles are pretty near empty I just haven't been motivated to finish them:

received a bottle as a gift for my birthday:

Asombrosa Extra Anejo Gran Resrva ( http://www.asombrosotequila.com/reserva.html )

Pretty awesome, has a sweet smell to it that I did not expect and almost caramel like flavors. Really good.

do you pour liquor out of that bottle, or use it as a butt plug?

maybe you should drink it all at once before giving her the bottle. Then you can hopefully forget the experience

I usually keep a bottle of Goose, Makers, Basil Hayden, and Don Julio on hand. I'd do just about anything to find a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle 20 year though!

^ - I still have a bottle. It's good, but not great. Awesome price for the anejo but it has more of a burn than I would have otherwise expected. I'm not drinking it straight anymore and usually will toss it in with a margarita if I want to use something other than a silver.
