Probably not something most of you would drink, but Tin Cup "whiskey" is great for shooting. It's really sweet, but not sickly so. Even comes with its own little shot glass for pouring.

I know what I'm bringing to my next camping trip. Jameson has been a staple for years, but its nice to try something new.

Good luck!

Up here in Canada, there are no more vendors that carry Yamazaki whatsoever. The bottles I have are all directly from Japan.

What's your (alcohol) spirit?

A thread similar to the beer thread but for the stronger stuff.

Johnnie Walker is a standard for me. Right now I'm on the Black Label.

I recently went to Rebecca Creek distillery in San Antonio and brought back this stuff. It's quite good.

I still need to take your recommendation and try that sometime...

However, the rate at which I am going through bottles of "The Ancestor", it would be entirely cost prohibitive. I ain't no Boostedjack, and I need to fund a 529 plan now!

At the complete risk of needing to attend some local meeting where I introduce myself and everyone responds in unison back with the word "Hi Joe", I would like to state my professional level on this topic

Start off, I typically keep around 100 to 120 bottle on my bar at any given moment, though lately I've been trying to round this down some.

Here's a pic of the gameroom - bar on right

Vodka's and Tequilla's

Whiskey's and Bourbon's

Rum's

Odds and ends (Gin too)

Note: left the Scotch section out - as room for growth on the topic.

Favorites...

Rum, is now Plantation XO - 20 year.

Vodka - got 4, Kettle1 is tops, Ciroc, Gray, Belvadire all follow
Odds and ends (Gin too)

Scotch is now the drink - favorite is Belvenie (just a 12, but I have the Caribbean 14 on my bar too)
[img]Odds and ends (Gin too)

And if I need to feel high class - although not a favorite, there's always this.
Odds and ends (Gin too)

Figured I could share a light up picture too -

Cheers everyone.

And only Pittsburgh stuff on those walls. Everyone else is irrelevant.... except for the hockey puck collection. All teams are loved there...AHL and ECHL included.

Naw, neither of my shepherds will throw people out...usually folks try to run out on their own and the dogs drag them back in.

Can anyone recommend a $30-$50 rum I can buy for a friend? It's expensive but he usually drinks crap.

Kraken for a bit of spiced. Or Railean if you can find it out there. It's a local distillery here on the swamp coast and they make a pretty nice product.

Dos Mederos 5+3 runs about $40...5+5 runs about $55

Plantation 20 XO runs about $45

Diplomatico Reserve runs about $40

Appleton Estate Reserve ~$35

All are good sipping rums (non mixers)

I love Barcelo Rum but I usually bring it from the Dominican Republic. Not sure if locally it tastes the same.

Went to pick up some more basic JW Black today...but decided to step it up a 1/4 notch and got double black.

Didn't quite realize this was a fire on the barn door-water run off like Laphroaig. Needless, I'll give it a few times before judgement....but here's what I'm sippin' on tonight.

JW double black

Single rock...like my drinks cold.

^ If you go past the Black Label and towards Gold Label or higher, I would urge you to use chilled whisky stones/cubes instead of ice.

Consider trying your whisky with chilled stones/cubes if you like to have a cooler drink...
