If you are in Durham, lock your doors at night. Or go check out Southpoint (its safe there). Avoid Northgate at all costs.

We are staying pretty much right on Duke campus. I figure it's safe around there. Any bars on campus you recommend?

Bumping an old thread. Last year I was on about 70 planes. This year looks like it will be just as busy.

Travel officially starts back up tomorrow. I will be driving to Saegertown PA. It's south of Erie PA. I drive back on Tuesday evening. Wednesday morning I fly to Louisville for a night and back on Thursday morning.

Well....who else is on the road these days?

Ive been busier than usual the past month and a half covering for everyone burning vacation time before they lost it. Things are quieting down now, thankfully. Wed or Thurs I have to go to Vermont, the rest of the week I will be staying within 75 miles of home. I typically drive 35-40,000 miles a year for work.

Next weekend Im heading to Fl for vacation

I've been in the seaside locale of Destin, FL for the last two weeks. My traveling is slowing down until after I pass this licensure test in Feb. Sigh.

Last year's tally of nights spent in hotels for work alone was 126. Count in my Arctic Circle excursion, countless trips to NC and other destinations, and I'd estimate I was out 170 nights last year.

Not a bad hotel room tonight. Just a Hampton Inn but it is brand new. And they had free beer in the lobby.

What did you do here for work?

And you guys talking about our Chicago weather right now are insane. We are having one of the most mild winters in history right now. It was 55 last week one day and 44 right now with showers.

Oh and I am in office every Mon and Fri. My travel days are Tues, Wed, Thurs and usually contain Milwaukee and Des Moines (drive), Omaha, Kansas City, Minneapolis (fly).

I drove home from Des Moines last Thursday during that nasty winter storm. Thank gosh for brand new tires, AWD and Snow Mode. LOL

We have an office in Chicago. I'm usually there a couple times a year. I'll be there next Monday.

I wish I would have known of this thread last month. Spent 6 nights in Chungli, (Zhongli and Jungli are acceptable) Taiwan. I have been meaning to post two amusing pics in a thread. I will post them here tomorrow.

I just wanted to track all where I am going to go this year. A lot of people asked me where I went last year.

I'll be in Chicago on Monday night so hopefully the weather warms up a bit.

I never look at weather past 2 days but according to this link, doesn't look too bad. For the middle of Jan in Chicago, this is great weather. I just hope it doesn't bite us in the ass come March/April when things should be thawing out.

At the airport. Going to Louisville for a day. Southwest now has new security areas at BWI. Took me 5 minutes to get to my gate.

Heading to Hollywood on Monday.

Hollywood, Alabama that is, but just for a few days. Funny I was told that since I "did my part" and went to Finland for a year that I wouldn't have to do stuff like this, but better this than no job.
