Was in Minneapolis last week.

Next week I am off to Ohio and then to Dallas for a meeting. I also need to drive out to Jersey for a day as well. I sometimes think I am really underpaid for all this crap.

If you ever have the chance to choose a business seat on the top deck of a 747, I highly recommend it. At least with United, that was the best flying experience I have ever had.

Wife and kids surprised me today in Boston and drove 6 hours to come hang out and stay . Because I've been staying at this same hotel for 18 months they upgraded us to their largest suite. Took them out for dinner and tomorrow they'll go explore historic Boston. Just got preseason tickets to see Touchdown Tawmy on Thursday night. My son "Brady" is a big fan.

Was planning on updating this more but I failed. I'm sitting at 78 flights on AA that this point. About 22 on Southwest. Been to Canada and Mexico a couple times. The rest is all over the US. I may be going back to Brazil at some point.

Also I was able to cross a couple planes off the list. I was on a 787 Dreamliner and a 767 last month. For some reason I was never on a 767. The only jumbos I have to cross off are the Airbus 340, 350 and 380. I've been on all the others.

787 while being smaller in the Jumbo jet segment, is the best plane IMO... quiet, fast and the window shade tho...

A380 is a nightmare unless you sit in Business/First class.... takes forever to get your luggage and you literally have to run to fight the crowd to the immigration counter... Too many ppl.

I liked the 787. I didn't quite like the seat I was in. I was in an exit row window over the wing. The engines have a louder whine when taking off. And I don't like bulkhead exit seats. Person preference. I also wasn't looking forward to the flight. I was on my way to Mexico and was suppose to fly from Chicago to Dallas on a 767 in First Class. I was rerouted due to a delay to LAX and then overnight to Guadalajara. I hate those types of flights. I ended up missing the upgrade by one passenger. That would have helped.

I can see that about the A380. My mom was on one and she liked it but she doesn't think about convenience when she travels. She usually have all the time in the world so waiting is not an issue. I on the other hand hate waiting in line or for bags.

All this said....my favorite Jumbo is the 747. I was on 2 in my life and that was 20 years ago. It's just amazing being on them. One day I will hopefully be on one again.

No more work traveling for me. It's about time. New job has 5% travel compared to what I was doing monthly for my old Department.

I was on the UA 744 from SFO to NRT in February this year. I dont know how it was 20 years ago but in 2017, the plane felt like it could fall apart any minute while in the air. All the moldings are peeling, everything rattles even with little to no turbulence, no personal TV. the shared TV is like 15" big
The whole plane smells like yah from the 80s. The light is so old, it gives a green tone which is kinda creepy. I guess that is part of their "mood" lighting.
But it does give you the "this is how it used to feel when flying (except there is no real service)"

747-400 is huge and cool but it is time to get them replaced.
