I'm on Stage 1 of this year's Canadian trip in Montreal.

For some reason, I always get the "special welcome" from Canadians...consisting of talking to immigration.

The weirdest part of yesterday was that provincial government-run casinos () wouldnt allow us to take leftovers from our dinners

The best part was going to Old Montreal and experiencing a bath house.

Today is Mont Tremblant, followed by the Canadian International Fireworks show tonight. Then, its off to the Maritimes.

Gotta find something to eat (and start snapping some pictures)

Going to Trinidad tomorrow. Not business. My grandmother passed away. I'm flying 13.5 hours tomorrow, be in Trinidad all day Thursday and back home on the red-eye on Friday morning. Normally I would have stayed longer but we are moving into our new house on Saturday so I need to be home.

Wish me luck surviving this one.

This will also be the first time I get to use my US Passport.

Thanks Scotty. I'm in Houston now. I have about another 3.5 house before my next flight.

Boingo FTMFW.

edit....Boingo, coffee, outlet to plug in and chair to rest my feet on FTMFW.

Looks like it will be a wet moving day. 3 weeks of dry hot weather and it rains when I need to move.

Schaumburg, IL for the week. Training someone so I'm just staying down here instead of driving back and forth every day. Bidding on Priceline FTW. Paid $68/night for a Hyatt Regency that's usually $169/night.

Do you guys tip the hotel maids? If so, what's a decent amount?

I'll be staying at the same hotel for several weeks in a row (Sunday through Thursday) and am just curious what you guys do.

Leaving for the airport in an hour or so. Heading to Indianapolis then to Ohio for 2 days then back to Terre Haute for a day. Back home Thursday night. This is my longest trip in a couple months.

I've been on the road about 3 of every 4 weeks since around June. Maybe longer.

ATL last week; North Jersey this week.

Home next week.

Bearcat - I hear you on the frequent travel. Haven't had a whole week home since the middle of June. Headed to Chicago for a day trip tomorrow.

How many of you use a personal credit card for your travel vs company?

Sorry if this has been asked, I didn't read through the previous 9 pages.

I use my personal card. That's our company's policy. So I got the 3-2-1 card from Bank of America. I should get about $800-$1000 back annually.

I'm back home early. My meeting for today got canceled so I was able to get home last night for half the price. You just can't beat Southwest. It seems like if you book last minute they are re-opening their Wanna Get Away priced seats.

BTW - For those of you that rent a lot of cars - AVOID the new Ford Escapes.

I had one this week. I did not think it was comfortable at all. It is also a gas guzzler and it has a small tank. I drove about 400 miles and had used 1.3 tanks of gas. It's annoying.

^ Really? I drove a 1.6 and 2.0 L Ecoboost and I thought it was quite nice and comfortable. If it wasnt for finding this particular Passat and the bad usability reviews of the Navigation and Sync, I would have bought one.

We used to be able to use our own personal cards, but company has since mandated that we use JP Morgan Corporate cards. Only execption is if you happen to travel less than four times a year.

We use personal cards as well. There are a few guys who complain about it and clearly would rather not deal with submitting expense reports. I love the points/rewards so I am fighting the corporate card debate. Just curious, so thanks for the answers!!
I use the Sapphire Preferred card and usually see $1k - $2k a year in return. It would suck to see that go away.

Just got back from McAllen, TX and San Antonio - personal travel, not business.

Next week: Northern VA and Chicago.

The week after, Jacksonville and Orlando.

Yesterday marked 46 completed trips on Southwest. 4 on United and 2 on American. All total I've been on about 70 airplanes this year.
