It was Velcoro's kid, Bezzerides even mentioned his 2 sons when she was turning the story over to the reporter, this was immediately after they showed the DNA results proving that the other boy was his son, plus she would have been pregnant for 9 months after getting on the boat

The black cop had them in his pocket when he was stabbed/shot to death

^Yea. I thought for a minute that Farrell was going to pull them out of his shirt pocket when in the half way house.

Season 3 trailer...

I'm a big fan of Mahershala Ali...so, will try to catch this. I did not watch Season 2 as many of you said it was not very good...hopefully, this one is more like Season 1 in terms of writing and plot.

I mean season 2 wasn't terrible, terrible. Better than a lot of the slop out there.

Season 2 was OK... meh... Nothing will ever compare to Season 1 and it's awesome twisted nature.

I didn't hate Season 2, but it definitely was a let down from Season 1

Vince Vaughn was great in Season 2 though

Yeah, saw that today.

Looking forward to it because I'm a big fan of Ali's acting. Hopefully it's as good as Season 1.

Even if it's not as good as season 1, it's hard to image it can be as bad as season 2.

I have not invested time into Season 2 given everyone's feedback. What was so bad about it?

From what I can remember, bad acting and bad plot with too many side stories. It started out good, but gradually got worse.

They should have kept the story simple like with season 1, but they chose to throw a bunch of different (and sometimes unrelated) stories at us that really didn't have anything to do with the main plot.

It has Rachel McAdams and Colin Farrell, right? They are decent actors, no?

Good first two episodes. Not as dark as season 1(so far) but I'm definitely intrigued

I only had time for ep1 last night and it was great. The director just makes it so bleak and dark (literally). You can't see shit and they have to search in that?? Especially with the fog. Ali is killing it too.

Yeah, the mood so far has a feel like Season 1...bleak is definitely the word.

And yeah, Ali is a fantastic actor...love his work.

Caught up on ep2. Guess I'll show my thoughts below

Spoiler
Don't think our killer/kidnapper has been revealed yet. Can't see the teens, garbage dude, pedo, nor cousin doing the whole doll thing, especially that it seemed like they're were homemade. Still waiting to see what happened to the lead from 1990 where the girl was discovered to be alive. I'm sure he quit the police to go find her but given what he said in present time, she wasn't found. How about that line to the pedo how he'll bleed black cock.
