Nic Pizzolatto might just be the M. Night Shamalan of 2015. If he makes a season 3 and it blows as bad as this season, he's guaranteed to make nothing but stinker TV shows for 15 years. Then, he will produce a movie and it will be great.

Compared to season 1 it sucks! But on it's own it's not horrible. There are many shows that last season after season that suck worse.

i truely enjoy them when I binge the last couple of eps right before the new ep starts.

last night I re-watched 2 prior eps before ep 7 (or is it8)started.

it would have done better on Netflix

I have high hopes for the 90 min finale, they FINALLY started pulling some story lines together, and the dude getting shot in the back was

It was nice that they finally let Vince Vaughn do some acting and not just be some boring statue. I thought he was actually good in episode 7.

More of nothing, leaving us scratching our heads. The show may as well just play alongside Leftovers. Another show with so much potential that gives us absolutely nothing.

RIP season 1 of TD.

^^Agree completely. Kept waiting (hoping) this season would turn it around, but my lord it's tough to get into and not scratch your head about wtf is going on. The finale will be more of the same unfortunately.

I liked the ending how it tied all the stories together.
Also not having 2/3 detectives not making through it made it more realistic and less Frank Capra-like.

Not quite as good as S1, but at least the sky didn't open like that climatic scene in S1 last episode.

Predictable as hell, but I thought they did a decent job tying the stories together. I knew the way that they sent McAdams off that she was gonna end up being pregnant. I also had a feeling that the Mexicans were gonna come after Frank. The first half hour was terribly boring, but it got better. I do agree though, that I'm glad that it's over

I went back and watched the week before so that I had a better idea of what was going on, glad that I did. I was still getting confused with the names. They really were all over the place with characters

We are watching this tonight. Looks like I didn't miss much, which is sad.

It may not be S1 but I bet if you look at S2 as a whole, now that it's over, it's still better than most of the shit on TV these days...

Way too many people to keep track of. I couldn't remember the fat detective guys name either, since he was only in like 2 episodes before getting his head blown off.

Completely agree, and that's what I tell myself whenever I get frustrated with AHS, it's still better than 99% of the other on TV, even when it sucks

And then they turn out to be 2 of the most pivotal characters all of a sudden, like wtf?

Yeah, it took me rewatching that episode to learn his name (Dickson) then you find out through the next 4 episodes more about him than the 2 episodes he was actually in... And then the father son mayor thing threw me off at first too, and the son made 1 quick appearance and ends up being integral as well. I guess from 1 side you could say it was well written, but holy hell was it poorly executed

Didn't help that they calling people by just their last names then just first names later on.

What? DA is the shit.

Also, fuck that ending. It was so dumb. I think the thing that bothered me the most was we watched an entire season about solving a murder and when it's solved it was like an afterthought of an afterthought...

That's what really pissed me off when they solved the murder, it was so far outside the realm of the story line and characters, it was like you said an afterthought. So freaking dumb

Yeah kind of meh. I won't watch season 3 until after it completely airs to see if I should waste my time.

Quick question: How did Vince Vaughn know where Osip was holed up with all that cash? Forgot where he got the intel.

Kind of wish if we had known if the stories were strong enough with a lot of evidence missing. Kind of wish we had more Tony Chessani so that we could see how fucking genius the dude is. I get Nic P. wanted to write in misdirection with the puppeteer pulling all the strings in the shadows.

I think it was his right hand man that he put down in the casino office that gave him the location. Blake or whatever his name was.
