^ I didn't feel that it was a letdown but I definitely agree that Episode 9 (2 weeks ago) was much more exciting due to the war. I mean, I just wanted to see some action after almost 2 seasons of build up.

Nice shots jiggaman!

47, I have not read the books and I won't until the show ends. Honestly I've seen some episodes multiple times when others need to catch up or I'll just throw it on since HBO plays it so much. Plus I watch TV with subtitles since I have loud kids and that's how I memorized the spellings and understood the British and fake accents (Baelish will always be Carcetti from the Wire!!!!).

one thing i didn't get is how did that guy in the house of the dead not know that those dragons posed a threat to him? was he just underestimating their power already? those things are going to be badass when they are fully grown.

I wonder how faithful the show will stay to the books as they have already deviated from the novels in Season 2.

If you have read the books, just on the things we have discussed thus far, will we reach to some sort of resolution at the end of the Season 3?
Nope. There will only be more questions.

GRRM said that the end of next season will take you through midway of book 3.....he's currently writing #6 (although we'll see if he ever finishes the damn thing - Dances with Dragons took FOREVER)

^ I read on Forbes that Martin averages about 4 years per book, so if this is going to be the pace even for the 7th book, the TV show will outpace the release of the last book.

Personally, since the author is heavily involved with the show, I think he may just push out book 7 earlier than the ones he has released in the past (Given that HBO finishes the series of course).

supposedly HBO has a fairly good idea how to carry on the show should Martin pass away prior to finishing the book.

I'd love to see them come out and publicly say this

If each season is one book, then next season won't answer anything. It should be interesting though, I think book 3 had a lot of major events.

Don't remember where I read it, but I think Martin already told the higher ups of the show how he wanted the show to end if he doesn't complete the books in time. They have a rough idea of where all events lead to which is good because I don't want this show to get cut off without answering anything.

Well the House of Undying warlock Pyat Pree said that his powers came back or got stronger when the dragons arrived. When I was googling his name I read how they were saying on the show how they used to be powerful but haven't been in a thousand years. They're magic is probably linked from when the world was more about magic and the gods with dragons and white walkers roaming. I guess he thought they were too young to spit flames. It sounded like greed took over him and Xaro Xhoan Daxos. Yes I IMDB'ed his name. It was funny how they said it every freaking time instead of Xaro or XXD.

Ok so I was checking IMDB about the actors and read some tidbits.

Lady Brienne - 6'3. not bad http://www.imdb.com/media/rm147504896/nm3729225

Cersei - born in Bermuda. She's going to be in a remake of Judge Dredd http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1343727/

Jaime - Danish

Cat - Hermione's mom in Deathly Hallows 1

Baelish is actually Irish. He sounded American as hell in The Wire

Jon Snow - only his first ever acting gig

Tywin - holy shit he was Benedict, the main bad guy from Last Action Hero. I can still hear Arnold saying his name.

Arya - I saw a video outside of IMDB where she was in a flash mob. She's actually a dancer.

Joffrey was the little boy in Batman Begins that his dad was yelling at him and Batman was outside his window. Mind blown!

Margaery Tyrell aka the new queen - http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1505663232/nm1754059 dayam

Stannis was Merlin in King Arthur. The action one with Clive Owen.

Osha was Remus' gf/wife in Harry Potter http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3293284096/ch0001010

Hodor is 6'11. Only acting job but he's a DJ. DJ Hodor?

Book 3, A Storm of Swords, will be split up into 2 seasons as that book is filled with tons of content and a lot of drama.

The Ds are contracted with HBO to write at least 2 more seasons, however, the show is still currently only signed for one more season.

I think I read that S2s episodes averaged 10+ million views. 3rd strongest show in HBO History (Sopranos, Sex & City). But, this show is also very costly and reminds me very much of Carnivale. Granted, it's far superior. But still, they have to keep up the viewers or it will fade away.

I ephen loved Carnivale!!

Very costly to make, that is why they are not a lot of battle scenes. They are making it on location, not just doing bluescreen.

They are definitely doing it the right way that's for sure. I just don't know how long that will last. The way they have introduced the cooler "fantasy/sci-fi" elements right at the end of the seasons def boosts anticipation for the next.

Go watch the last season of True Blood. GoT makes TB feel like a highschool production. LOL

Rome was really expensive too. It had viewers but I think they cut it to two seasons because of costs. Season 1 was far superior as 2 squeezed story lines due to time constraints.

Hell yea it does! I tried to resist getting into this show (Spartacus fan) but wow this show is great! I just started watching it two weeks ago and watched 2-3 epeisodes a night (most of them twice) in order to get caught up for the finale last Sunday. This show is too great Can't wait for next season

yeah I read this at Wiki

HBO Chairman Chris Albrecht announced in a July 2006 news conference that season two of Rome would be its last, citing the fact that the series (called "notoriously expensive" by Broadcasting & Cable) had been developed under a two-year contract with the BBC that would have been difficult for the BBC to extend due to the series' cost.[25][26] Of the storyline, co-creator Heller said:

“ I discovered halfway through writing the second season the show was going to end. The second was going to end with the death of Brutus. Third and fourth season would be set in Egypt. Fifth was going to be the rise of the messiah in Palestine. But because we got the heads-up that the second season would be it, I telescoped the third and fourth season into the second one, which accounts for the blazing speed we go through history near the end. There's certainly more than enough history to go around.[27]

So I just finished it today. Watched five in a row today!!! Like I said before, I waited until season 2 was over to finally watch it. I actually didn't know what the heck was going on at the end of episode 9 until it "unfolded" in episode 10. I had some moments of gasping.

The ending of episode 10 just opened up so much more to the series. Can't wait to see what direction this show will take. This is hands down the best show I've seen.

since the beginning of the show they slowly start to introduce magic, either by foreshadowing or hinting at it in advance. I'm only on the second book right now but im assuming this is a bit of magic that Jaqen Hagar has mastered, the act of changing his face and name is a very useful tool for a master assassin like him ( plus it's something arya can learn) one of Khalessi's girls even talked about it in season one...

so maybe in the next season we'll get to find out.

Interesting he's from the same place as Arya's old "dance" instructor. Arya's going to be a mean bitch one day.

Just to be clear, did you mean that in Season 2 only or ever? (As in, you read the books and we won't be hearing from Jaqen Hagar any longer)

He's known as a "faceless man" - There are many assassins like him. They worship the "many-faced god".

This. I read all the books and he doesn't reappear anymore although he is mentioned a few times. I'm pretty sure he will come back sometime in the last few books because it just doesn't seem like his business with Arya is done yet.

Wait if he won't appear anymore later on,
why did he gave arya his coin and a pass phrase to get a hold of him?

I know I'm seeking answers but if it's a spoiler, don't bother, haha

Thanks for clarifying Pete2010 & slvrdrgn123. I hope his business with Arya isn't finished yet. Granted, I have no idea what the future holds for Arya, but she is by far the one Stark I'm most looking forward to avenge the misfortunes that happened to her family (And maybe John Snow & 2 youngest sons). Plus, Jaqen Hagar is just a badass!

Robb & Lady Stark are both after their lack of progress to King's Landing and poor judgments in Season 2. Honestly, Robb is straight up annoying to me, and I can't wait for (spoiler ahead) his impending demise in Season 3.

Game Of Thrones International Exhibition Launching Next Month

http://omg.yahoo.com/news/game-thron...184028844.html

"Game of Thrones" is going on tour.

HBO announced on Monday they are launching the "International 'Game Of Thrones' Exhibition" in a handful of cities across the globe.

PLAY IT NOW: Kit Harington On Filming ‘Difficult’ & ‘Emotional’ Game Of Thrones Season 2 Finale

The travelling exhibit will allow fans to see costumes, props, armor and weapons, according to the release, including King Joffrey's crossbow, and Jon Snow's sword, Longclaw.

The show's costume designer, Michele Clapton, will oversee the costume display.

Also on display will be the Iron Throne, which fans will be able to sit in and take their photo.
