[QUOTE= as a mechanical engineering intern.[/QUOTE]

Those must be the ones who send out RFQs and have to be called and told "just because you can draw it does not mean it can be manufactured". Mind set of if .001" is good then .00001" must be better!

My daughter talked to her friend/roommate who's working at SpaceX and said it was an amazing party.
Like you mentioned, they started early afternoon and went past midnight.
Alot of Uber, Lyft and cab rides home for people.

If the car was actually sent up in its stock earth driving form, maybe only the motor would work for a short period.

The tires would be flat and/or destroyed.

Also the brakes wouldn't work either. The brake fluid would boil over in space.

Transmission fluid would boil over too. Same with battery coolant.

SpaceX confirms its Crew Dragon capsule, built to carry humans, was destroyed during a test fire

clicky link above for full story

Crew Dragon had a great start to 2019, and it executed an uncrewed demo flight in March during which it docked with the space station and returned safely home. But on April 20, the spacecraft was undergoing a "series of engine tests" at a facility in Cape Canaveral when something went wrong during the final stretch.Thick plumes of smoke rose into the Florida sky, sparking concern that there had been some kind of explosion linked to a serious issue. But at the time, SpaceX only confirmed that an "anomaly" occurred.

“Test fire”

Is that like the “test meltdown” they tried at Chernobyl?
