Seriously, all those nerf gun battles and standing desks, or maybe it's all those free drinks and free snacks slowly killing us, or maybe it's the free beer in the fridge

My first week at this company we had Tae Kwon Do class, so nice working somewhere that doesn't work you to death

YMMV. My job does pay for my gym as well as my insurance company giving you gift cards if you take surveys or just check in at the gym. I like to thank my CEO for my gainz!

Yeah its definitely a tough market now. A few people have pushed me to go to pharmacy school, including my boss. Now everyone says dont do it. I have two new pharmacist I helped train on the new system and were about the same age, and theyre both starting to look for new jobs. Barely getting hours and its starting to get hard to pay back those student loans. $60-100k in school debt is rough. I went to Georgia a couple of months ago to train a new staff and I met another new pharmacist and she said she has $185K in debt from going to a private school. She was hired at $47/hr. I do know that in my area pharmacist start out at $60/hr. I think Ill change back to business and finish that.

Really tough job with not great pay. Make sure it will be a true labor of love.

The world is moving toward BSNs, so invest in a 4 year degree but be wary of overpaying for the degree.

^Hmmm. My Cousin's hubby is an RN for pediatrics and makes really good money and has constant job offers for unfilled positions.

He does love it, though.

I know someone that runs a decent sized pediatrics Dr group. They're strategy going forward is to hire more medical assistants and less RNs for cost savings. Of course they still need a few RNs on staff, but it seems like the MAs can do the majority of the same work for a whole lot less.

My sister in law is an RN at the ER at the biggest hospital in our area and a hospice nurse. Shes always working, but says she makes more money than what she knows what to do with. My Mom was a nurse too for years. But I do see a lot of MAs doing more of the work and I have a friend whos going to School to be a PA. Shes been an RN for a few years as well.

I don;t really know the distinctions, you are probably right. The field in general seems to be always in demand.

Anyone ever had a store price match something after you purchased it. Then found another store having another sale and got the store to then price match the item a second time while still inside your price match period?

It's 2 more years of school and potentially a 50k pay bump
You can write prescriptions and in some states have your own practice
Essentially a junior doctor without the heavy debt load and liability
Think about your life choices

That's what I've heard. I've also heard the same about the PA vs Dr decision.

NPs have more freedom to write things and prescriptions that PAs don't.

Hit a possum last night in the V coming around a corner at night. Was only doing speed limit 45 cause it was dark and I always worry about deer. Tried to swerve to miss it but clip the corner of the bumper and it detroyed the fog light bucket for sure. haven't had time to pull the car apart yet to see if the projector survived or not. At least that side of the bumper the paint was already somewhat spider cracked from the previous owner. Now it just is further up than just the bottom edge.

Got back from the NE yesterday. Wow Boston really impressed me. Beautiful city, good eats, lots of stuff to do it seems. Pricey as hell though.

I woke up one night/morning to find my drunk bro petting a possum.
