Who says you can only get a good pastrami in NY. Some transplants opened a shop in a new food hall and it was great. Nice and moist and at $13 decent price.

I'm telling you though.. Katz is heaven.
You're lucky to get some good transplants and live in such a melting pot over there.. food wise.

Here in Central TexasS (long drawllll), we know our meats (emphasis BIG MEAT).
There are some places locally that do fantastic pastrami and briskets.. probably some of the best.. even craft mustards.
Just phenomenal.. but I'll always have love for Katz.. pure bliss.

Made the mistake of last time getting Katz to go. Will have fresh from the butcher's bosom.

I have stopped doing V day. If you really want to celebrate just do it at home or another day. Restaurants are not worth the wait and terrible food.

Agreed. Wife and I both kinda hate most Hallmark holidays... I bought her some of her favorite chocolates at the supermarket yesterday for like $3 and left them out for her this morning. She was happy.

Same. I sent flowers on Tuesday to be hipster. We normally do V Day dinner before or after. Limited menu, long wait, cold food, shit service, inflated price.

Grabbing some hamburders and diet cokes on the way home tonight. Gonna get the fabric tablecloth out and put in on the TV trays. Use the good Chinet plates and light a couple of old number candles from past birthdays.

Hopefully be parking the beef bus in tuna town before Big Bang Theory comes on. Heh. Hi Class stuff.

Had a change in plans. Stepped it up a socio-economic step and went to Wendy's.

Spicy Chicken Sandwich (no mayo) for m'lady. Spicy Chicken Sandwich with an Iced Tea (mine) and medium fries (to share) for me. Collectively, 14 chicken nuggets for the kids.

We ate like the top 10% of earners in the USA last night. Let me tell you, it felt GREAT!!!

Just got done swapping the dash cam from the old MDX to the new one. Either this one was much easier or I'm just getting better at it with practice.
