Currently 73 & 73% humidity in Houston.
Light cool front came through this week, but is slowly warming back up.

It was 97 in Dallas the other day, then it got 50 at night...

I'm in Mississippi, set to have a cold front in a few days... I'm jealous of you!!!

Oh yeah, three day weekend for me. Coworker took my shift (she originally used PTO but didn't need that day off) so I could be off for teacher's planning day, but my daughter will be with her maternal grandma this weekend. I don't know what I'm going to do with all this free time. Tomorrow I run in my first 5K.

Just clusters of absence seizures - nothing super nasty experience-wise.

Non-Eeyore news: I got my Hickman catheter removed in time to swim with my kidlet on Labor Day before the pools closed! He was over the moon. What am I saying...so was I!! He had started asking about my "boo boo" at least once every day as he was getting older and realizing its effect on my limitations in interacting with him. I couldn't pick him up or wrestle with him on the floor. Couldn't get it wet when playing with the hose or water table outside, couldn't swim with him, was always protecting my chest when he'd launch at me, etc. I learned how much changes in a child's awareness in 6 months at his age!

HLL filmed my telling him it was gone and it makes me cry when I watch it. He was clued in when I was able to pick him up outside the pool, and he immediately pulled the collar of my shirt aside and asked about it. His huge smile and hug when I told him it was gone were utterly priceless. Then I told him I was getting in the pool with him. He still looks for it and asks if it's gone now and then, but now we talk about my "dot" (scar) instead. So good.

How's Justin-land? What's up with you these days?
Absolutely priceless! So glad to hear about the progress.

Prep, prime, paint, clear. That's all. I got another estimate that was fairer at $479.

Not really. An old neighbor talked me into since I told her I had been going back to the gym regularly again. So many hills. I did come in second place in my age category. So that was an unexpected victory. I had planned to run it no longer than an hour. I ended running it with a coworker who signed up almost at the end of the week and she's a beast. Did it in 38 minutes. I definitely would run another one.

I have to actually train for them or i'd be huffing and puffing and die halfway.
and that's awesome that you want to do another...my last and only one was a "mud crawl 5k" and I got some kind of boil/skin lesion from crawling around in the mud.

AD, nice run (pun intended).
A 5k is about 4.99k too long for me. I'll stick to cycling.

Nice work Dude! If I push myself, I can do a 5k in 23 minutes. Just did one about three weeks ago at that pace. That's only 1 minute off my best time in an extremely hilly NY course.
