So sad - nightmare scenario for sure. Large crowd, shoulder to shoulder, elevated shooter with an automatic.....

News is reporting the shooter is a white 64 year old, some kind of auditor, has a hunting license. Shooter was killed last night.

Difficult to watch the interviews of the folks who were on the ground.....

Most casinos ban guns, yet this crazy motherfucker was able to bring a whole arsenal with him. This is just fucking unreal. It's obvious this piece of shit spent lots of time planning this massacre.

Well, unless you start doing an X-ray of everyone and their luggage coming into any casino you are not going to stop them. It would be fairly easy I imagine to bring guns and ammo in one of those vendor display cases and the bell hops would probably take them right up to your room for you. Remember there are lots of conferences so probably lots of vendor cases for folks selling stuff or setting up displays. It would seem like nothing out of the ordinary at all unless you opened the case.

Prayers for everyone impacted by this.

They don't stop you from going from the lobby to the hotel room, thought the casino floor is usually what is between the checkin and the elevators

seriously frightening. I was at the front of the entrance of the concert a few hours before.

sad thing is I recall commenting to my friends how many cops there were and that it should be safe

Definitely my worst nightmare, I go to tons of concerts, and this has been a major fear of mine ever since the attacks in Paris where they shot up a rock concert. Just sad and terrible

dont even need to put them into any fancy vendor display case. Load em into a duffel bag and it'll look just like your luggage.
