The face is a bit busy for my tastes, zeroday, but it really only matters what you think about it. If you like it, get it. It's mechanical and that's a good thing. It looks pretty big. Do you know the case diameter?

Edit: Never mind, I see you posted it as 42mm. That's a good size, IMO.

^ That's one hell of a daily watch. As a man who knows his watches the WG Daytona, with Arabic markers and black dial is very, very, very excellent...

i have a patek that my obscenely rich uncle bought me 2 years ago for missing all 20 of my birthdays/christmas's/etc. its a 18k rose gold with white face and moonphase perpetual calendar with a black croc strap. as soon as my mogul's camera starts working again, ill snap a pic. personally, i would have killed for a breitling for bentley 6.75 SS, now that is a watch.

That's a nice watch for a leather band. Orange is a good color for watches, IMO. Strange that the 00, 05, 10, 15, etc. around the bezel runs counter-clockwise? Does this have a countdown function?

It looks like it has a GMT function, but you're right about the numbers running counterclockwise. I would have guessed it's an elapsed time ring, but I've never seen the numbers reversed like that. Given the second button, I'm gonna guess it's a chrongraph complication.

And to orange faced watches. Doxa ftw.

Seiko makes very nice pieces. Is yours a mechanical timepiece? If it is, it's a gem, as Seiko makes excellent automatics and has for a long time. If it is mechanical, $300 for a servicing is pretty reasonable. If it's quartz, you could buy a new watch for that much.

I'd check to see what a replacement watch costs first. 300$ can get you a very nice Seiko Automatic. Some Seiko Autos can run as little as 80-90 bucks new:

on the B&R. Yeah my wrists are small also so many of the watches I want look huge on me. My PAM 111 is the biggest watch I have right now and as much as I love it, it looks a little strange/big on me.

man another one of my fav watchs i can't wear

I love the Marina but that thing is just WAYY too big for me too. i think 42mm is my limit.

i'm also waiting for the new larger face day-date II that rollie had @ basel, but one thing i noticed w/ WG is that its low key. And I mean very few people know its a daytona let alone WG and assume its SS, one reason why alot of older peeps get rolex's in dual tone. hey atleast i won't get robbed!

Local guy on another forum that I am on happened to put it up for sale on Sunday. Decent deal with the straps so I jumped on it. Paid $4k for everything and the watch is only a month old.

He was local and well known on the forums so i felt safer paying a little extra for that.

I want to find out if i can get a Delaurian strap in the same leather as the 335i so it can match.

Just ordered a Planet Ocean Chronograph, pics to come this weekend.
It was a tough decision between that and a PAM 111. I really wanted a chronograph though. I do see myself getting a Panerai this winter though.

Anyone buy from these guys before http://www.watchclick.com/ ...?

Their prices are pretty good esp. with the Tag Carrera Automatic I've been eyeing lately @ $2080 (http://www.watchclick.com/tag-heuer/...-men-4638.html )...Thanks in advance!

I bought from Topper Jewelers. www.topperjewelers.com . Bought over the phone and was really easy. Call them b4 you buy. I would make sure the dealer you buy from offers a manufacturers warranty and is an authorized dealer. You may pay a few hundred more but it's worth it. I could have saved about $500 more by going with a non-authorized dealer but on a $6k watch I didn't want to risk anything.

Yeah, stainless and black I guess. When I got the SD it was the biggest and heaviest watch I'd ever seen. Now it seems small. I really don't see myself wearing any yellow gold so maybe one day I can move up to that WG daytona. My wife is next, she is wearing a Citizen I bought for her 8 yrs ago. After that, Panerai. i'm gonna send the SD in for service soon, it's never been touched, hopefully it comes back looking new.

On a side note, what does the letter after the model number on a PAM mean? Such as 111j and such?
