Does anyone here have any experience with Hirsch Performance Bands especially the Robby or Ayrton models? I am thinking of picking one up for my Edox Iceman to change the look up a little bit.

Here is the watch it would be going on.

If they are high-quality, not sure if I should go with a black buckle to hide and blend in or maybe a polished to match the polished ring around the bezel.

I have a Hirsch rubber lined strap on my Apple watch and like it a lot, very comfortable.

Guys i have been thinking for awhile now and i might pull the trigger on this Panerai but want to know is it really worth to dump all that money on a Pam 616?

Nice piece. At that pricepoint, you do have options too...You sure you don't want to consider from the powerhouse watch-houses like VC, AP, Breguet, Blancpain, et al...? The only thing about that Pam is that it's very sporty...so, the versatility may be a bit more limited. Then again, if you are going for that piece at that price, you probably don't care about the versatility as you have other watches to use.

A Hublot Big Bang is also worth considering if you want something super sporty.

One more thing, DIZAZNDOOD320 , you can probably score the TAG Tourbillon piece with the price of the Panerai...something to think about if owning such a cool complication means anything to you.

The movement inside this piece is a standard P9000 movement. The movement is in house, but pretty consumer grade finishing and design-wise. with a steel case, the retail price of this watch would be something like 6-7000. Most of what you're paying for is the forged carbon case. At 17k, I don't think it's worth it. Even in a steel case, at 7k, this piece is still way overpriced. this watch, given the movement, should be no more than 4k in steel. If you really want this piece, I would wait for it to pop up used on chrono24, or a retailer like Govberg/watchbox.

This.

Seriously though, the watch looks great and definitely unique. Whether it's worth it is up to the buyer.

You will never get consensus on a forum of watch enthusiasts. Get what you'll want to wear and look at everyday. It's not going on my wrist.

I will never get the infatuation with Panerai pieces, ugly as sin, so-so movements, and seemingly way overpriced.

If you read the Watch Snob (I find him amusing), you'll see he shares your sentiment...

Actually, there are many watch snobs I talk to who don't care for Panerai at all. I like them for their military-esque look...very neat. But, I do find them a bit...pricey.

The first watch geek I ever met was a collector of Panerai. He loved them. Probably rubbed some of it on me, due to its uniqueness. I do see quite a few of them around town though. So maybe its popular around the engineer set I meet.

Here's my new shitty watch

SRPA83 - baby tuna - NART - PADI Special Edition - Pepsi MAX

I was ready to pull the trigger on the SRPA82K1.. but I was still apprehensive because it's Not A Real Tuna (NART)
I made my qualms about this earlier.. and being nearly a 20 year PADI Pro, I've always had an affinity for PADI SEs.
This baby was pricier and definitely not the fit and finish of a real Tuna, but I'm super happy with it.

The Tunas and Baby Tunas are fucking huge, but Seiko is world class.. it really feels like a much smaller footprint.
It's got heft, but the design of the case and band are ultra comfortable. I have smaller and lighter divers that feel much bigger.

Kiss my ass TE3!

Nice, congrats! Yeah, huge, but since the watch is essentially lugless, it's slightly easier to wear than the measurement suggests, no? Regardless even the baby tuna would still be enormous in my tiny wrists.

Not only that, but the case back is receded and the case is curved, so it really fits the curvature of your arm.
There's a NART thread that's 100+ pages on WUS.. bunch of twiggies in there like you and Yumcha wearing them.. they like them.

Macro shot of a crispy mint Zenith Defy AF/P (AF/P Stands for Alta Frequenza Precisione, AKA high beat) that I picked up a few months ago. Italian day wheel, and a Gay Freres bracelet.

Yeah I'd say in the past 6 months I've acquired 4-5 solid vintage pieces, and only 1 modern (a Cartier Santos I found for a good price, and had always wanted to wear one).
