Damn you Sly! I may just have to start getting back into collecting. I may have to scour eBay and collect some of the "old" Pirate ships again like the Black Seas Barracuda, Caribbean Clipper, etc.

If anyone wants one they are $80 bucks a peice (regularly $150) at The LEGO Store. Get them while you can. They have been discontinued. Whatever is out there, is all there is from what I've heard. These are the ones that come with the motor set too! The motor set is sold separetly for $30!
Damn, missed it! Care to sell me one of your sets? Cash in hand

Those ads look cool. totally on the mark with LEGOs and what kids perceive what they build to be.

The tank image was really nice.

I just browsed eBay, and found the average price for a Black Seas Barracuda was around $100!

Damn myself for selling this when I had it!

Sale on LegoShop.com:

http://shop.lego.com/leaf.asp?Type=11

Not the best selection but some things are cool. And if you have kids perfect time to get some stuff for cheap.

If the LEGO Store had any more of those I'd be buying them up. THey were such a good price. Save some for me, sell the rest later.

P.S. I got your email, haven't had a chance to respond yet but will very soon.

Just got back from Lego Land......

I had to get the F1 car, it was $69. It was so funny to see all the dads pick up this car off of the shelf and look at it, google over it then put it back down. My son and I had a blast building it. It has a full diff rear, a working rack/pinion steering and the pistons even move when the car rolls.

He got a big jumbo-jet airliner with the landing strip and some ground crew pieces. ( My car was WAY cooler...)

^^^ have you seen this F1 Car:

http://shop.lego.com/product.asp?p=8674&cn=196&d=9&t=4

It's basically a more detailed version than the $70 kit. It even has a working suspsension.

I've got the $70 kit myself and had a blast building that one too.

And in case you missed my post a few pages back, here are my pics from legoland:

Snapped these pics at the Glendale Lego Store...

They are having a contest, guess how many pieces they used to build the statue and you win a LEGO set...

BTW, Anil...as you know, I finished the crane...but, the damn thing won't stand. It keeps falling over--the hydraulics don't appear to work.
