Impressive but...

"LEGO Master Builder"

Did he have to go through some some sort of apprenticeship to get that title?

phipark 12-21-2005 11:55 AM

Pretty cool. Doesn't look like 8ft though.

savage 12-21-2005 12:09 PM

doopstr 12-21-2005 12:19 PM

It doesn't really look that hard to build :dunno:

It's included, but not shown. It was signed by Nipsy Russell before he died.

Yumcha 12-21-2005 02:03 PM

:bigeek:

Oh. My. Gawd.

I want that more than a new car.

Yumcha 12-21-2005 02:21 PM

If I ever play with that thing...like fly it around...I'll mount it on my car and drive around the block and making whooshing noises...:ponder:

I think the deal is that Lego Master builder Erik Vaszegi comes to your home and puts together the attack cruiser in his skivies while humming the star wars theme song. In the small print it states you must feed and house him and treat him like one of your own. No thanks!

I believe it comes as it's shown in the description. The only thing from the looks of it that needs assembly is the stand.

There'e aren't any "special" peices. From what I know, whatever LEGO peices LEGO sells is all you can work with. It's not like they make custom peices for him.

Since he's a master builder, I'm sure he's got access to LEGO peices that are normally hard to find but are included in LEGO sets that are sold to the public.

Sly Raskal 12-21-2005 05:03 PM

Although the title "Master Builder" sounds kinda funny. I still think it's something to be proud of. We all rave about other people's talent in tuning engines, paint jobs, or even their experience with photography or some other talent. How many people do you know can take 35,000 Lego peices and make it look like this? It may not be the coolest thing for eveyrone, but it's still hard as phuck to do and does require a lot of talent.

Sly Raskal 12-21-2005 05:10 PM

Take a gander at these things made out of legos:

I wanna see this guy make a Death Star that is proportional to this Cruiser he made :suite:

Well, now that you mention it, I believe Lego did make a Death Star set...:ponder:

No, you're right, they did. I know about that one.

I'm just saying imagine one that is proportional to this 8 ft cruiser!

phile 12-21-2005 06:26 PM

With the way those bricks cost, 31K probably only covers the cost of material.

But Lego bricks last. I remember I got the knock-offs when I was younger, and those things broke within months.

Scottman111 12-21-2005 08:09 PM

yeah that thing is suite

And I don't even like star wars

if he built a Death Star proportion to the cruiser, wouldn't it be like the size of an airplane hanger?
