Most definitely. What I did was a quick job just for giggles. I will be doing it more permanent when I get around to it.

Well, I don't own one, but have held them, and while they "work", I can't say there aren't better options. It just seemed like a REALLY big pistol for a hi-cap 9mm. Take a look at a Browning Hi Power, Glock 21, or Sig if you are looking for a quality 9mm, with a "get the job done" attitude. Why add lots of bulk/size if it's not needed? Just my YMMV.

Question for all you CCW's

What kind of ammo do you use for carry?

Lately i've been using either Speer Gold Dot or federal hydra-shok.

What bout you?

Take a box of 50-100 of each that you like, and with a cold gun for each type, run all the rounds through in a session. See which has less problems feeding, extracting, etc.. If they are all equal, flip a coin.

Also, try each type of round while "limp wristing" the gun, shooting lefty, and using a finger other than your index to see which is more tolerant (in combination with your recoil spring, etc..) since a stress shoot situation may not be ideal shooting technique.

Really?

8. List all traffic violations (moving violations only) and motor vehicle accidents you have
had in the last five years. (Use additional pages if necessary.)
How bad can you be?

Are you considering using additional pages?

Unless you have a crapload of DUIs, moving infractions (spaced out) are okay on the app. Your good cause must be rock solid though. Riverside county issues permits but the wait time is long and they have given headaches to people in the past (meaning, while they do issue, you have to be very proactive).

So what are some legit reasons? I'm in IT so I was thinking of putting down the fact that I work late nights and weekends Not sure if thats solid enough...

Do they do an interview? If not, maybe I should just "embellish" a bit?

+1. M9's are huge. They are reliable and solid guns though. They have an external hammer, decocker, a lot of the classic features.

On a Glock, the safety is your finger.

Just FYI, the Glock 21 is a .45 ACP. If you want 9mm, its either the Glock 17 (service size), G19 (compact size. IMO the best 9mm polymer pistol around), or G26 (subcompact 3" barrel).

Remember, lying on an application is a crime (and they do check thoroughly). With that said...

If you transport large amounts of equipment, cash, have previous attempts of assault on you, etc. You have good cause. If your good cause is work related, your work will have to write a formal statement to the sheriff saying so.

Yes, Riverside county does interviews.

at least get a utah ccw. it's not good here in kommiefornia, but is good in 30 states. it's easy to get because it's non-resident and shall-issue. go to bci.utah.gov

They are black, and were referred to as Black Talon rounds.

Lemme count how much I have.

Funny how back in the day, black talons were called cop-killers. Then all Win did was take them off the market and made the bullet brass... then the politicians rejoiced.
