See all the evidence markings outside is why I would be worried. That means he left his house and kept shooting. Once they left his house should he not have had to stop shooting at that point? He is only allowed to project place of residence or can he continue to keep shooting as they retreat as long as they are still on his property in Texas?

The two armed robbers shot back as they retreated out of the house according to the homeowner’s story he told KTRK.
Some of the streetside markings may have been from the perps.

Or maybe it was blood/poop drippings as they ran.

But in general, in Texas at least, I believe you can stand your ground on your property, not just domicile. And your neighbors property as well if they give you permission.

You need to read up on your rights. He has no duty to retreat, and has every right to defend his life if he feels threatened. That doesn't just mean in his home or car.
Even if they were fleeing, it could be construed as being a credible threat to using the vehicle as a weapon or getting more ammo / weapons from car.
Trust me, unless he shot an innocent bystander, he's in the clear. And even if he shot an innocent person, that itself may not be a charge.
Civil liability yes, but not necessarily criminal. State would have to prove negligence / recklessness.

Wasn't saying I was correct it was more a question for understanding. Also if they are running to flee and he shoots them in the back is that not an issue then? Or is he clear because they are the ones that attacked?

If you shoot a guy who is reaching for a gun, is that reasonable?
Or should you need to wait til he points the gun at you?
As long as there is a credible threat and you deem the need to protect your life, you're clear.
The law is written loosely to give you the benefit of the doubt.
Like I said though, you could be liable in a civil suit.

Side with the state.
If your state supports stand your ground, look at previous rulings.
Does the state side with the victim?

Down souf.. they shake your hand before and after grand jury.

That was my first thought when they listed his age and the jewelry.

Castle doctrine varies by state, but California is actually decent about it. Still, most people around here in the bay area would shit themselves just hearing about a shooting.

Don't confuse Castle Doctrine and Stand Your Ground.
There's a difference, primarily Stand Your Ground says you have no duty to retreat in ANY domain you have the right to be at.
Almost all states and territories support Castle Doctrine.. part of English Common Law that we adopted in 18th century.

Even though states and territories support Castle Doctrine, they may still pursue a case stating you weren't in imminent and mortal danger.
Many municipalities will challenge the merit of it. It's bullshit. Part of Castle Doctrine states forcible or unlawful entry.
If your life was endangered but say.. you're with your new girl and her ex whose legal residence is the same place, but separated, comes in with a key and tries to beat yo ass.
Do you have a right to drop the fool? You be the judge.

Not to be political
But that commercial didn't bother me
It's the notion that we've been raising men to be toxic assholes that's shameful
Shut the fuck up and sell razors, not bullshit social commentary

Everyone should know right from wrong
If a dude is a toxic asshole, it's because he's an asshole, not because he was raised to be one
Now if we're talking about just being a fucking man - compassionate yet one hard mother fucker, well.. suck me.

Toxic Males

Nutnfancy with his bug out gun recommendations

He rules out .223, but I think it's just as viable as 22LR.
It's more common in some parts of the country, and it's better for creating a self-defense perimeter

I would carry a .223 LW rifle with a decent mid-range LW optic
I'd also have a 22LR pistol (as nutn recommends) and a 9mm carbine (sub 2000 or ar-9 build, something reliable with a stock)
I would pack more 22 than 223, and less of 9mm, but I'd even it out. I'd primarily have a 9mm carbine because of ammo availability.
Backup if nothing else. I think it's worth the few extra pounds.

Thoughts?

Huhuhuhu but cars are different!!~!~!1

Here's an idea - we should make breathalyzers mandatory on all vehicles, old and new. You pay for the cost of it, registering it to your name, plus inspections, plus certifications on making sure you know how to use it properly. And if you screw up ones of those steps, congrats, you're a felon! Oh, you're against this idea? Guess you want people to die then, you selfish prick - basically every gun control debate

Magnitudes more people are killed in cars than they are by guns, but whatever. Same goes with pistols vs. rifles. But statistics are only acknowledged when it's convenient.

They also make a 50 round .22 pistol now. Quad stack rimfire magazine what could go wrong?

Guessing a more budget entry than the KSG, which MSRP in the mid-7xx range around here.

Well +MSRP at the start, well eventually stabilize at or below MSRP.

Sound like a recipe for rimlock & jams, but
Me, I want a CMR30

I like the RDB-C as well, for a featureless/less-scary AR type rifle.

The KSG12 has consistently been in the mid 5s this past year on slickguns, I passed up on it twice.
I really wanted to grab one, but I think I'd rather Saiga-12

Keltec has a cult following now. People used to talk shit about them, but they're truly producing some innovative and reliable guns.
I fucking love the RDB, not that featureless bullshit there though

During the gun grab a few years back, the KSG12 was selling for 1200-1500.

Finally installed the free float conversion on the hbar. It does that and also adds some more weight to the gun. Pretty sure that doing this and not practicing is going to take me from near last place to top 10

I usually get kinda nervous about this kind of modification because you have to cut some things and punch really old pins out, but luckily somebody before me already beat the hell out of the gas block/ sight of this gun.

I'd recommend the P-09 over it, but it looks damn good

Nice! Too bad he didn't get him before he shot his wife, but he likely saved many other lives. Hope he wasn't there for a procedure involving laughing gas..
