Brownells has 9mm for 154.99 for 1000rnds. If you use activejunky with it you get another 4% off which makes it 148.80 so .1488 per rnd. Lowest I have seen in in a while.

I just picked up an 1100 Competition Synthetic. Mostly doing trap, occasional sporting clays, going to join a skeet league in the new year. Not crazy about the faux CF furniture, but I love the nickel receiver and the stock.

After trying different pumps, O/Us, and an 1100, I got fed up with my 500 and how it swinged, the recoil, and the constant FTFs. I averaged 19-20 (out of 25) with it, but hated shooting it.

The first time I used my 1100, we went 3 rounds I managed a best score of 24 with a full choke. I had never turned clays into dust balls that much before. My comfort and confidence in my gun is through the roof now. I feel absolutely zero pain in my shoulder now even after 3 rounds of trap.

1100/10 would recommend. Only thing is, I'm trying to figure out how to keep the chokes from unscrewing loose. Purple loctite?

Thanks! I don't want to go full ugga dugga with it and strip the threads, but even using the wrench it comes loose after 3-5 shots at the most.

No idea, I just see them pretty regularly in the Grabagun emails. Would be nice for getting a proper cheek weld vs over the ear muffs, but I can't imagine they're 'better' that over the ear, long-term.

I can go half a round at most before needing to tighten mine. Mine stick out of the barrel and I just do it by hand when needed.

I just got some choke tube grease. Will see how it holds up next trip.

I didn't lube my choke and it already seized up a bit

Oh you know... Just about everything.

Family, friends, great food and weather.

Yeah, lower salary in other areas is offset and then some by dramatically lower living expenses.

I eat both quality Mexican food and poke on a weekly basis. Without these two things I would probably shrivel up and die.

Pokeman go? It kinda sucks. Wandering out in the desert tripping over snakes to find a pokemon. It's good to have some of that snake shot loaded in a revolver just in case.

If you're tripping in the desert playing Pokeman and your not having a good time, you just need more peyote.

Went to an indoor range the other day that's right down the street from my office, very cool place. Hadn't been out since March of last year when I bought the M&P 2.0 and took it out for a test round. Got to try out the Kimber as well, thing shoots so smooth and has a lot less kick than I was expecting for a 45. Definitely a fun night, especially since I didn't have to freeze my butt off

Not surprised on the Kimber. A steel framed pistol would be a bit heavier & should absorb some recoil pretty well.
The one that surprised me, was a rental HK 45 (with suppressor ) Had a lot less recoil than I was expecting, was also my first time shooting with a suppressor.

Aren't Kimbers supposed to be polarizing? Like, decently priced but hit or miss quality?

I think the QC issues are less prevalent than they were in the past
I know a few people with Kimber 1911s & they've had no problems.

I'd post this in the R&P gun talk.. but nah.

https://www.khou.com/article/news/cr...e-6bd7d8b559e2

Houston, TX – A Texas homeowner shot and killed three men and injured two others with a AK-47 during a home invasion when the men reportedly tried to break into the residence at about 1 a.m. Saturday.

Police told KHOU that after the men got into the house, the homeowner was able to grab his gun and shoot four of them.

One of the men died in front of the house, according to KPRC. Another of the wounded men fled on foot and was later found by police. That man was shot in the leg and was later hospitalized.
The three other men ran to an SUV and left, according to police. The SUV then crashed into a pole.

Another man was found dead inside the SUV, according to police. A wounded man also fled the SUV after it crashed and then later collapsed on the street and died, according to KPRC.
The 20-year-old homeowner spoke to KTRK off-camera. The man, who was not identified, said two people broke through his door wearing ski masks and demanded cash.

The 20-year-old man said when he realized it wasn’t a joke, he reached for what the robbers thought was money but instead grabbed his AK-47 and then began shooting at the robbers.
The two armed robbers shot back as they retreated out of the house according to the homeowner’s story he told KTRK. The 20-year-old homeowner said he knew the robbers from the past “in passing”
and that he thinks they targeted him to rob him of money and jewelry. A neighbor said he saw two men with large guns enter the home as others pulled up, according to KPRC. The neighbor said he
went inside his home and then heard gunshots.

Police were investing the crime scene. KPRC reported there appears to have been a large gunfight as police have recovered several dozen shell casings.

He used an AK aka Da Choppa!

The neighbor said they barged in with rifles.. he should be clear on the shooting.

That fool trappin

That's something else all together
