Brownells has 9mm for 154.99 for 1000rnds. If you use activejunky with it you get another 4% off which makes it 148.80 so .1488 per rnd. Lowest I have seen in in a while.

I just picked up an 1100 Competition Synthetic. Mostly doing trap, occasional sporting clays, going to join a skeet league in the new year. Not crazy about the faux CF furniture, but I love the nickel receiver and the stock.

After trying different pumps, O/Us, and an 1100, I got fed up with my 500 and how it swinged, the recoil, and the constant FTFs. I averaged 19-20 (out of 25) with it, but hated shooting it.

The first time I used my 1100, we went 3 rounds I managed a best score of 24 with a full choke. I had never turned clays into dust balls that much before. My comfort and confidence in my gun is through the roof now. I feel absolutely zero pain in my shoulder now even after 3 rounds of trap.

1100/10 would recommend. Only thing is, I'm trying to figure out how to keep the chokes from unscrewing loose. Purple loctite?

The guys I've shot with just tighten their chokes all the time. Congrats on the gun though.

Thanks! I don't want to go full ugga dugga with it and strip the threads, but even using the wrench it comes loose after 3-5 shots at the most.

No idea, I just see them pretty regularly in the Grabagun emails. Would be nice for getting a proper cheek weld vs over the ear muffs, but I can't imagine they're 'better' that over the ear, long-term.

I can go half a round at most before needing to tighten mine. Mine stick out of the barrel and I just do it by hand when needed.

I just got some choke tube grease. Will see how it holds up next trip.

I didn't lube my choke and it already seized up a bit

Oh you know... Just about everything.

Family, friends, great food and weather.

Yeah, lower salary in other areas is offset and then some by dramatically lower living expenses.

I eat both quality Mexican food and poke on a weekly basis. Without these two things I would probably shrivel up and die.

Pokeman go? It kinda sucks. Wandering out in the desert tripping over snakes to find a pokemon. It's good to have some of that snake shot loaded in a revolver just in case.

If you're tripping in the desert playing Pokeman and your not having a good time, you just need more peyote.

Went to an indoor range the other day that's right down the street from my office, very cool place. Hadn't been out since March of last year when I bought the M&P 2.0 and took it out for a test round. Got to try out the Kimber as well, thing shoots so smooth and has a lot less kick than I was expecting for a 45. Definitely a fun night, especially since I didn't have to freeze my butt off

Not surprised on the Kimber. A steel framed pistol would be a bit heavier & should absorb some recoil pretty well.
The one that surprised me, was a rental HK 45 (with suppressor ) Had a lot less recoil than I was expecting, was also my first time shooting with a suppressor.

Aren't Kimbers supposed to be polarizing? Like, decently priced but hit or miss quality?

I think the QC issues are less prevalent than they were in the past
I know a few people with Kimber 1911s & they've had no problems.
