I just got in IWB and OWB Aliengear holsters for the P-09.
Very nice. Plastic c-clips on the IWB and leather belt loops for the OWB.
P-09 feels great. Shells also match my all steel compact in case I want to hot swap.
Retention isn't as good with the compact, but I can live with it.

I need to invest in some good plastic clips for my IWBs. The edges of the metal clips I have tend to wear small holes in my shirts & have made some marring on my kitchen chairs.

Went to the LGS tonight to use the range. They had a one day sale on all instock firearms 20% off. Took a lot of will power and bring smart with my money to not walk out of the store with a Kimber Desert Warrior. I have wanted that pistol for a long time.

20% off could tempt me into a Scorpion, or a Sig P365.

They didn't have a P365 in stock unfortunately or I probably would have walked out with it. They did have a S&W MP2.0 Compact which was tempting but it was only like $20 better than the best online deal which I guess after FFL fee I pay would be really $40 cheaper.

For as much as I love CZs
I love 1911s even more
You can get one of the filipino outfit 1911s real cheap too, like a RIA.. and it'll run reliably and eat almost any ammo.

For some reason, I enjoy the aggressive slanted serrated slides, like the CZ and Sigs.
the 1911's are too stylized for me.

I mean I also like the ergo of holding a 1911 in general. There are so many of them that at some point you have to choose what you want in one. Obviously you want some of the extra money to make it a better shooting pistol but what is wrong with liking the way it looks too.

One day you might depend on that pistol to preserve your life.
Kimbers are finicky AF, with the right ammo, right humidity, it's butter
But I wouldn't put my life behind one.
It'll look good in your cold dead hands though

For all the people that see to love Kimber 1911 they can't really be that bad can they? As long as my house has a CZ in every room I should be safe them so I don't have to rely on that Kimber right

Not saying I would every carry the Kimber. Heck I would never want something that big as my carry gun. I lot of higher end stuff in finicky. Let take Alfa Romeos for one or Lambos that catch fire.

If I were to eventually pick up a 1911 are you saying you would only go with Dan Wesson 1911's? I was originally posting those other two pictures just for the heck of it but seriously Sig 1911's? Rock Island 1911's? Always been facinated with how long the over all design has really been around so someday I will own a few of them maybe.

Take a look at the Springfield Armory line of 1911s as well.
