At online stores, it's usually $100+...but, you can score it easily for $70ish on eBay.

http://search.ebay.com/airwolf-dieca...woflQ20diecast

With shipping mine came to about $105

There are different versions.

There is a Black Metallic Version, Black Matte Version, Normal Version, and a fourth that I don't remember the description.

be sure to decide which you want first.

yea, but unfortunately from eBay they are mostly from overseas, and the shipping is about $20 so it still ends up being close to $100 anyway

I bought a Black Metallic Version for $105 and the normal version for $110

Unfortunately I hvaen't had luck finding them anywhere else. Done searches in google and havne't found them.

Have you guys heard of the brand "Ebbro"????

I found this auction some time ago:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...:WNASIF:US:132

but I've never heard of this brand and the model is quite expensive compared to the prices of the AutoArt skylines

Never heard of Ebbro.

Speaking of unfamiliar brands, have any of you seen anything in person from either Spark or Bizarre? I believe the parent company's name is Minimax. They have some pretty good looking 1:43 models but you can never tell just from pictures. Especially at 1:43.

The owner of the local shop where I buy my goodies was recently sent some assembly line images from CMC. Check out the work that goes into their latest creation. Nuckin' futs. Cheap Chinese labor has it's benefits.

Oh wow...that's some insane detailing!

Anyone here have an AutoArt 1/12 model...? I'm seriously thinking of getting one as a reward for myself for a nice raise I got recently.

You know, I'm pretty sure I saw that thing when I drove through Pigeon Forge last summer. Then again, I was seething with rage over the traffic conditions at the time so maybe it was just part of a fantasy to destroy everything in my path.

A tad more relevant to the actual thread, the ever drool-inducing CMC announced two new 1:18 scale Ferrari's for release later this year. The 1961 Dino 156 "Sharknose" F1 car, and .....drum roll....... the 1958 250 Testa Rossa. Hurt me. Actually hurt my wallet (> $300 ).

CMC is sooooo pretty...but, soooooooooo $$$$. I have yet to even dare buy one...let alone something made by Exoto.

And for that price, I may as well pick up a 1/12 model.

Anyone here own one of the AutoArt 1/12s...?

I have an AutoArt 1/12 Mercedes CLK GTR in Silver. I bought it before the pricing went through the roof last year--only paid $235 for it at the time, now they are $399. The detail is absolutely sick.

I have about 75 1/18 diecast cars--mostly from AutoArt, GMP and the new Hotwheels Elite lines (Ferrari). I really want the CMC Ferrari 250GT, but cant seem to bring myself to shell out that kind of $$$$ for a 1/18 scale model right now.

To quote, a rundown of the features of this beast-toy...

Quote:
Here's a rundown:

* Full motion control is provided by a DMD T-03 unit -- forward, reverse, normal turns, pivot turns, turret traverse, and barrel elevation and depression.

* MF-01 sound system recreates all of the authentic sounds for the above actions, plus engine start-up sound, running, and shutdown. As with their Tiger I and Tiger II kits, Tamiya digitally recorded a real working Maybach engine in France!

* Firing of the main gun is accompanied by a strobe flash, blast sound, and barrel recoil/hull kickback for the ultimate in realism. Bow machine gun also flashes when firing (also accompanied by sound).

* Duralumin lower hull, die-cast metal drive sprockets, idler wheels, suspension arms, rubber-rimmed road wheels (lots of 'em!), turned aluminum 88mm main gun barrel, and much more.

* Comes with everything you need to make it run, including a 4-channel radio and receiver (check local regulations for frequency restrictions), 7.2V batteries and charger (eight R9/AA/UM3 [1.5V] batteries for radio unit are not included), and all the inner mechanisms required to accomplish the features listed above. All you have to do is build it, paint it, and enjoy running it!

Of course the quality, detail, and accuracy is of typical Tamiya standards: excellent! The plastic parts are flawlessly molded for realism and ease of build. The plastic link tracks come pre-assembled, requiring only that the final pin be inserted to complete each run around the suspension. Decals are provided for three vehicles. 57.2cm long (22.5 inches) when complete. No figures are included. Can be used with Tamiya's optional R/C Tank Battle System (not included).
