Yeah, that was it. Wierd on the link. It worked when I copied and pasted it into a browser window but I was already on their site. Guess they don't allow deep linking.

Oh...yeah. I saw the GT4 Ford GT awhile back in town but the store wanted $120 for it...no way.

Up next, the Aston Martins.

As much as I like the NSX, these pics of the Ferrari next to your avatar clearly shows where Honda got their inspiration.

thanks guys, I think I found what I was looking for -

http://www.ashevillediecast.com/cart...ategory_id=499

$29 seems pretty reasonable for this sort of thing?

1/18 cars can go from the $20s to $200s depending on the manufacturer of the model and the amount of detail...

So, for that price, it is definitely on the lower end of the price spectrum...quality-wise, I would not be able to offer much as I don't know who made that car, GINge!...

Call me oblivious, but I just realized something. Apparently the European tobacco advertising ban is retroactive. According to my local shop, Minichamps will be releasing a 1:18 of the famous 1982 LeMans winning Porsche 956L. You know, this one:

Arguably one of the most famous racecars ever, right? Well guess what, apparently the model will be released without the Rothmans logos due to the tobacco advertising ban. WTF?!?

I finally got around to taking some pictures of my CMC Maserati Birdcage. The real life counterpart was was driven by Stirling Moss and Dan Gurney and won the 1960 1,000km of the Nurburgring.

BTW - This is a 1:18 not a 1:12. It's that detailed.

The CMC Birdcage was $245 from my local shop.

They're coming out with the Mercedes W196 Streamliner next. It's looking equally sexy to the Birdcage if not more so. Here's the page at my local guy's place (with pics).

Aoshima 1:48 Airwolf Diecast Matte Weathering Version

I so want one of these just for nostalga

I found it on eBay.

Aoshima 1:48 Airwolf Diecast Weathering Version

This particular version shows signs of wear due to the elements which I think is cool.

They have a Black Metallic version and a Black Matte version.

^ Ah yes. Aoshima.

If you look up their past releases, they have also released nice diecast gems as the APC from Aliens, Thunderbirds vehicles...

And most importantly, they release good quality robots!

Ordered the black metallic version and the normal metallic version.

I really wanted the black matte version though.

Wow! Those diecasts are awesome! The detail in the Carrera GT, the Gallardo, and especially that Birdcage is insane!

Here are some pics of my 1:18 TL that I finished modifying (painted tail lights, drop, rims, exhaust)! This thing is pretty detailed (carpeting, leather seats, seats move forward and back, etc.) too, but not nearly as much as those others...

P.S. I want one of those 1:1 Nissan Skylines in Yumchah's pics!

That's some sick detail man! Good job!
