I like how the news reported this evening that Netflix would meet with the cast & crew for the season finale to make sure they felt safe & comfortable. Like what is Spacey is suddenly going to do after 4.5 years? Turn into one of his creepy movie characters?

Scuttlebutt is he IS a creepy character around young male crew members on set.

PS: Everyone remember the whole Travolta/Massuese allegations that all suddenly disappeared? Yeah, based on what I know from fellow crew members, I was never shocked about them, nor surprised they were all paid to go away.

There are going to be more of these in the coming weeks/months. Its like we have a big purge going on.

‘House of Cards’ Will Return on Netflix, Without Kevin Spacey

Dec. 4, 2017 2:07 p.m. ET

“House of Cards” will return on Netflix for one more season, ending speculation that the sexual harassment scandal that led to the firing of actor Kevin Spacey would also bring an abrupt finish to the critically acclaimed political drama.

The final season will include eight episodes to be shown on the streaming service next year, chief content officer Ted Sarandos said Monday at the UBS Media and Communications Conference in New York. Mr. Sarandos didn’t say how Mr. Spacey’s absence will be explained on the show.

Co-star Robin Wright, who plays Claire Underwood, wife of Mr. Spacey’s Frank Underwood, is on board for the sixth season.

Earlier this fall, Mr. Spacey was fired by “House of Cards” producer Media Rights Capital. Netflix had also indicated it would not proceed with another season of the show if Mr. Spacey remained involved. After the allegations against Mr. Spacey emerged, Netflix and Media Rights Capital halted production while they evaluated the show’s future; the coming season was already expected to be its last.

I had read that 2 eps were shot with Spacey and they're not sure if they'll use them or start it up without him.

So will the first episode be Claire putting a knife in his back and then blaming the Russians?

Just started getting around to watching new season. On episode 3 now. Does it get better? Because so far, I don't like it. It's a bit boring.

I was at how they just showed Frank Underwood's hands in the funeral pics; Couldn't even show his face. Show has been completely sanitized of Kevin Spacey.

And the way they're trying to explain how Frank died. Kind of

It's watchable, but it's not great.

A guy I used to work with had a bit part in 3 or 4 episodes.

Kevin Spacey to Be Arraigned for Sexual Assault

Dec. 24, 2018 6:57 p.m. ET

Actor Kevin Spacey is facing a felony charge for an alleged sexual assault in a Nantucket, Mass., restaurant in July 2016, authorities said Monday.

Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O’Keefe said in a statement that Mr. Spacey will be arraigned on Jan. 7 in Nantucket District Court.

Former Boston television news anchor Heather Unruh in November 2017 publicly accused the former “House of Cards” star of assaulting her then 18-year-son at a Nantucket establishment in 2016. She said Mr. Spacey bought her son drinks and then stuck his hand in the young man’s pants and grabbed his genitals.

Authorities said they issued a criminal complaint of indecent assault and battery against Mr. Spacey after a show-cause hearing at Nantucket District Court on Dec. 20.

Efforts to reach a representative for Mr. Spacey were unsuccessful Monday.

Netflix Inc. and “House of Cards” producer Media Rights Capital cut ties with Mr. Spacey in the fall of 2017 over sexual-assault and harassment accusations against him.

The actor released a video on YouTube Monday in which he appears to be portraying his “House of Cards” character, Frank Underwood. He asks viewers not to rush to judgment, saying, “you’re smarter than that.”

“I feel surprisingly good and my confidence grows each day that soon enough you will know the full truth,” he said.
