I've been watching the last few seasons of Trailer Park Boys lately. Not much time for TV this time a year, so two or three episodes per week.

Chernobyl also has some great actors in it. Yeah, it was on my queue. Just haven't gotten to it.

we like that show too, we're trying to pace it actually because we're running out of shows we like... but anyways, I especially like this show because it takes place in South Orange County/California, I miss Laguna Beach/Dana Point, I recognize a lot of the shooting locations

oh... and LindaCardellini , I've liked her since "Freeks and Geeks"

Agreed - they have a pretty solid cast in this. Even some of the minor characters - Ed Asner was a surprise.

Feel like watching Unbreakable again since it's been so long since I saw it.

Just watched Arctic last night - great movie. Great performance by Mads Mikkelson and great job shooting it. Goes to show a movie with almost no dialogue can be awesome.

I watched the 1st episode and yeah it was great, need to watch the next 9 now.

Now this movie, I'm sure to get some feedback on. But my youngest daughter was watching "Baywatch" and yes it's a stupid movie but it's a stupid movie that makes fun of itself. It's only 17% on Rotten Tomatoes but did win The Godden Raspberries Award "The Razzie Nominee So Rotten You Loved It"
For a mindless movie it was actually mornic and entertaining. The Rock, Zak Efron and rest of the cast were pretty good. Recommended if you loved "Hudson Hawk"

I have been watching "Barry" on HBO, five episodes in so far. I really like it. My problem is that I keep falling asleep mid episode...

I'm halfway into season 2.. Hader plays a great psychopath

You old Stogs.. episodes are only 30 mins!!

I did fall asleep in one episode because old too..
I was awoken because there's an epic gun battle that occurs.
Had to rewind for the lead up and see what the fuck went down.

It's definitely a dark comedy
Bill Hader is the best.. and McBride...

Speaking of McBride, I'm stoked for the new show..

When you get to Season 2's episode that involves Daniel Bernhardt, you will die laughing.

Towards the end of the season it gets even better, and I think Season 2 goes up from there.

I agree - it's not really a "great movie" by traditional standards but it's entertaining just the same. I think the fact the movie doesn't take itself seriously and keeps it light makes it work. Some good comedy moments between the Rock and Efron.

We watched "Blockers" on Netflix looking for some comedy to break up all the drama that's coming out these days. I expected it to be terrible, but was pleasantly surprised. The most surprising part was that John Cena was actually really funny.

The plot is a little corny, but the jokes are good.

B+

I was like wtf is going on.. Is Barry having some elaborate daydream

It's like the writers went on strike and Danny McBride and Jody Hill concocted it

we watched "Night School" the other night, it wasn't bad, NOT something I would have paid to see in a theater but for Netflix, it has some funny moments... I mean, it's a Kevin Hart movie

^Going to watch tonight. And yeah submit the Daniel B episode to the Emmy's because they're going to win for that one. Fucking brilliant.

I have been watching Killing Eve on American's inflight entertainment. 5 eps in and it's great. Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer who plays the assassin are great. 8 eps about 40 mins each and s2 is coming soon.

Someone mentioned Ozark, now that GoT is out of the way I'll focus on that and catch up on Chernobyl which here and outside I've heard are great.

Ozark has a good start and is well done. The story goes in circles after season 1 IMO.

Totally agree. S1 was great and S2 is "ok".

I feel like the first season of a lot of shows are really well written, but the writer doesn't write a S2 because who knows if it will get picked up. When it does, they scramble to keep the franchise going and the writing goes to shit.

Christopher Robin - The stuffed animals are cute, but the story really needed some work. Could have been really great, instead its more like a made for tv movie.

When I was reading about the cancellation of Santa Clarita Diet the article alluded to Netflix now targeting 3 season runs tops. The cited as time goes on, things get more expensive. Too bad for this show becasue they didn't really get to wrap it up - it just hangs there needing a S4.

Will be interesting to see how this will be applied.

"Get Carter" : 1971 British gangster film with Michael Caine, inspired Guy Ritchie and Quentin Tarantino in their films. 3 out of 4 stars. if you liked "Pulp Fiction" and "Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" then definitely recommended.
On Netflix this month.
