So, finally watched "Solo"...FWIW, I found it okay and not a SW flick I'd watch again anytime soon. Meh.

Watching "Dealt" too. Pretty cool profile on an impressive card magician.

Several adds to the Netflix stream worth watching:

- Hell or High Water;
- Cool Hand Luke;
- The Dirty Dozen;
- Apocalypse Now;
- Etc.

Hell or High Water is excellent. Total sleeper flick.

Saw first 2 eps of Kominsky Method. Slow start but picks up. Douglas solid, Arkin excellent. I think Kominsky almost swept the Golden Globes beating out Maisel. 30 min episodes

I know I'm a bit behind, but we're half way through Haunting on Hill House and it is absolutely fantastic. I love the way that they jump from past to present and how they tie in different details into the overall story. Very well done, reminds me of American Horror Story in a way with their story telling

Netflix raised their rates for streaming service today: https://acurazine.com/forums/money-i.../#post16365660

I was surprised to see what people were willing to pay for Netflix's DVD by mail service back in the day

Stop paying for slop like Bird Box. Already cancelled the Marvel shows. Narcos, Orange, HoC, fell off. Master of None on hiatus. You're losing steam Netflix

There's 1 more season (season 7) of Orange. How long can they continue with show?
Narcos was renamed Narcos: Mexico and has been renewed for a 2nd season

Anyone notice a BUNCH of foreign produced Netflix content lately?

I watched "The Crew" (French with english dub) and "Wolf" (Turkish with english dub) recently. They were OK, nothing amazing, but the production value was very high for both.

Seems to me like they have had a strong International and Independent showing for a while, but they don't tend to advertise them too much, especially compared to their original content. There are definitely some gems hidden in there.

Loved that movie, the character depth and development between the two brothers and two Texas rangers was excellent. Reminded me a great Coen brothers movie full of metaphors.

Oh I see. I thought “NETFLIX content” meant “it’s on NETFLIX”.

I won't lie...the Marie Kondo show isn't terrible. She's got some great tips on decluttering and organizing.

The first episode was so similar to our life it was both reassuring and a little depressing.

I didn't mean those were cancelled. I meant 2 of their biggest shows have fallen off in quality. Hard to justify their price increase if they're content is declining. Same with HBO when GoT bites it though I'm loving True Det

My bad. I thought I saw a comma between "shows" and "Narcos."

I understand what you mean with Orange and HoC, but they've had long runs. It's hard to go past 7 seasons and keep a show fresh and exciting. They'll come out with something new. And they have (IMO) other good shows still:

Stranger Things
Castlevania
Narcos: Mexico
Ozark
Atypical
Punisher (though it'll likely get canceled after)
Jessica Jones (again, will likely get canceled after)
Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj
Frontier

And Netflix seems to be doing good with creating mini/limited series:

Godless
Alias Grace
Bodyguard
Maniac

Forgot I watched Bodyguard just last week. I hope Stranger Things keeps up. I have to finish Ozark but I heard not as strong. I didn't count the Marvel shows as they're out. Castlevania is pretty good but not where I need to pay more. Haven't really heard of Atypical, Patriot Act, Frontier, nor the other mini-series though I heard Maniac is just weird.

It was good enough to finish the series and it had an ending that was ok.

Watched Bird Box... Lame as hell. Thought it would be better from all the hype I was seeing around, but nope... They suckered me.

Binged Mr. Robot. I like it. Looking forward to the next/last season.

Currently binging The Expanse... Recommended by a co-worker and it's okay. Originally was on SyFy, so it's a little corny and obviously structured for commercial breaks which forks with the story flow, but I'm intrigued enough to watch it through.

Watched the new Sicario finally. Not as good as the first one.

Guessing the ending was ambiguous on purpose as a Part 3 is incoming.
