Since this is a car forum, have you seen?

- Drive
- Senna
- every episode of Top Gear

Do you like anime? They've got a lot of pretty good stuff.

Have you seen Ip Man and Ip Man 2?

Check out the Netflix originals: Orange is the New Black, House of Cards, Hemlock Grove, Arrested Development

Way too many to list.

Drive - very good film noir, Goseling is really good in the lead role. Sorta like Ryan O'Neal's "The Driver". No topless scene for Christina Hendricks

Senna - good documentary but also heavily biased toward Senna and makes others the bad guys. Still worth watching but if you know F1 history kinda annoying to watch.

Just watched Olympus Has Fallen. I don't recommend it unless you're a fan of head shots.

I liked it up to the Britney Spears song part then it took a left turn into bizarre aka James Francoville. At least no one cut off their own arm

Pain and Gain appears to be hit or miss depending on who you are watching it, but I loved it. And Star Trek was the bomb.

In theaters, I recently saw the family and highly recommend it. Combination of Action, drama, comedy and a really hot daughter actress in Dianna Agron

Just saw Oz The Great and Powerful.

If you don't like The Wizard of Oz, you won't like this. If you do like The Wizard of Oz, you may still not like it. I thought it was okay. The public library had it on BluRay

I watched the documentary "Blackfish" the other day. If you are interested in psychotic serial killer Orcas it's an interesting film. It's about Tilikum the Orca who is responsible for killing 3 people (2 trainers and a homeless person).

Several people have mentioned Pain and Gain, but when I checked last night it said it wasn't available on Netflix yet.

I ended up watching Into the White instead since it got recommended to me. It was not bad. Supposedly it's based on real events.

I'm not a huge fan of the wizard of oz (I didn't hate it but I haven't watched it in 20 years and have no plans to in the future). I liked oz the great and powerful, I thought it was an interesting prelude to the original.

Guess people didn't read the "I finally got netflix and don't know where to start" part.

A decent Jason Statham flick that's available on Netflix is Parker. I saw that one about 2 weeks back. I thought it was alright.

Saw Dredd last week. It was better than I expected (thought it was going to be terrible).

Expendables 2 is on Netflix.

Oh my bad lol, only Netflix? Then you need to watch IP man. It's in Chinese, and it's a martial arts movie, but it's easily one of the best movies in that genre that I've ever seen, and actually preferred the subtitles.

Need a title amendment to add Netflix streaming only. OP, does it have to be movies? Tons of great shows.

Agree 100% on the "subtitles are better" for ip man. I watched it the first time with the subtitles and recommended it to a friend who got the over dubbed version. You may not understand Chinese but with the overdubbed version you miss out on the emotion of the actors voices and the movie just doesn't seem as good.

The Croods was fairly entertaining.
Zero Dark Thirty was good.

Olympus Has Fallen was entertaining.
Epic was meh.
Mud was fantastic!
Oblivion was pretty well done really.
Pain & Gain bleh.
Oz was horrible.

Shit I have way too many movies... :/

Gatsby was good.
GI Joe was meh.
World War Z was meh.
The Place Beyond the Pines was good.
Only God Forgives was decent. Cool. Just not quite Drive.
The Lords of Salem was horrible.
Now You See Me was meh.
The Purge was meh.
Warm Bodies was fresh but just so so.

I've actually been grabbing old movies lately. In HD when possible. Like The Edge, The 13th Warrior, Sphere, Contact, Sunshine, Willow (lol), Ronin, Da Vinci / Angels Demons to name a few.

The Crash Reel

One of the best documentaries I've seen in years, from HBO about Kevin Pearce (snowboarder)
