Movie: Bumblebee

Don't tell me they're going to start doing Origin's movies for Transformer characters?

I thought this was a joke. But wtf! FOREAL?

To be honest it actually looks good. However, I hope this doesn't mean there will be 20 spinofffs...

It actually looks decent with no Bay. Nice throw back designs to gen 1 bumblebee and Starscream.

But we know transformers 6 was axed. So I would think there won’t be any others after this. Time will tell.

Starscream actually looks good.

Still think Bumblebee looks idiotic with the pacifier-in-mouth appearance.

Looks interesting, I wonder if it will tie in with any of the others... I forget now if in the first TF movie the military/sector 7 knew about these robots or not.

Too late. Spinoffs in progress:

1. Bumble Bee Meets Herbie
2. The Real Origin Story of Bumble Bee Tuna Fish
3. Bumble Bee: Hive and Seek

But yeah, the trailers actually look promising.

Re: why Transformers movies weren't like this... Maybe licensing money from GM was too tempting?

I'm really looking forward to this. I mean the explosions and slow-mo fanservice were amusing for a bit, but it's about time they focused more on the Transformers stories.

Looking good, except Bumblebee is still mute. Too bad it's not a whole reboot. This is the one franchise that needs a complete overhaul.

I really loved this one. You can see the writer and director both had reverence for gen1. Hell you want the first five minutes to be its own feature. Its a total 80's movie trying to rewrite Transformers within the continuity already created.

Its funny I read the director talk about how he wanted to have Megatron on Cybertron just laying waste to Autobots but couldn't because in the established continuity Megtron was already frozen on Earth. Yet...didnt Last Knight establish Bumblebee had been on Earth since WW2??? And why didnt Sector 7 seem to have any knowledge of transformers if they had Megatron on ice?
I wish they would have just soft rebooted and left all that shit behind.

Either way. Loved it, great. More or less the Transformers movie we've always wanted to see.

That is so encouraging to read...Finally, a TF movie I can look forward to after the total the sequels have been.

I did really enjoy it
it went back to the 80's cartoons I grew up with.

John Cena was my only complaint about this movie..
too robotic (almost as much as the robots)

I agree, except my complaint that he is too cartoonish/over the top.

Movie was ok. Either best or 2nd best (after first Bay flick) of the franchise. Some parts dragged. Cybertron scenes are pornographic though.
