He looks like Batman...but, otherwise, I don't know much about this character.

He's married to Storm, but since the X-Men are with Fox, while the Avengers are with Disney, the two are separated by a inter dimensional studio wall that will now forever keep them apart.

Oh, yeah. Justice League > Avengers

DC has a long way to go to reach Marvel levels in cinema. Nolan Batman excluded.

Snyder's comic book movies have consistently been better than any other film in the genre, even Nolan's Batmans. My favorite comic book movies are Snyder's Man of Steel and Watchmen. Based on Watchmen, I think Snyder's going to hit a home run with Justice League.

That would be the recent Gojira movie...where those big kaiju went and savaged North America.

Going to be odd without Ororo. But I can still dig it.

As a child I always confused black panther with the phantom. Hahaha

Well, they both come from Africa, but one is a white ghost and the other is a black panther.

Watchmen, hahahahahaha. That's cute.

Man of Steel was good though. Just not quite TDK levels.

Weird they'd have a Panther movie after introducing him in Cap3. Might as well make a Falcon movie too

^They're all reboots anyways.

My friend made a good point. They're likely bringing BP as the Spiderman replacement since they can't use him as the masked hero who fronts the side preferring privacy from the mutant registration act.

Didn't Stark appose the act as well? Going against the Captain whom was for anything the USA pushed... at the time.

Damn it I wish they could bring in Spider-Man!!

What about Spider-Woman...? Would Sony automatically have a lock on her as well?

Reverse that. He was against it before he was for it, but primarily he is the main antagonist to get it passed.

Captain America was just Captain for a while right? Was it because of that?

No. Per the wiki...
Rogers receives a large back-pay reimbursement dating back to his disappearance at the end of World War II, and a government commission orders him to work directly for the U.S. government. Already troubled by the corruption he had encountered with the Nuke incident in New York City,[102] Rogers chooses instead to resign his identity,[103][104] and then takes the alias of "the Captain".[105] A replacement Captain America, John Walker, struggles to emulate Rogers' ideals until pressure from hidden enemies helps to drive Walker insane. Rogers returns to the Captain America identity[106] while a recovered Walker becomes the U.S. Agent.[107]
But I doubt they will touch on that specific story so it would be cool if they use The Captain and a black suit here... as long as they dont make him emo like black suit toby.

Alt-right group tries to sabotage Disney’s ‘Black Panther’ on Rotten Tomatoes

Feb 6, 2018

An alt-right Facebook group is attempting to sabotage Rotten Tomatoes ratings for Walt Disney Co.’s upcoming superhero movie “Black Panther.”

A Facebook page called “Down With Disney’s Treatment of Franchises and its Fanboys” created an event called “Give Black Panther a Rotten Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes.”

Both the Facebook page, for repeatedly violating community standards, and the event have since been removed.

The moderator of the page claimed credit for a concerted attack against Disney’s “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” when it was released back in December. The aim was the same: Give the film rotten ratings.

The moderator self-identified as a member of the alt-right when HuffPost reached out to him in December. He told HuffPost that he was upset that the producers introduced more female characters into the “Star Wars” universe.

Before the “Black Panther” Facebook event was taken down, thousands of users had said they were either going, or interested in the event.

Rotten Tomatoes said Thursday that it was aware of the plan and that it would block any users engaging in hate speech in the comments.

“Black Panther,” which opens Feb. 16, is expected to be one of Marvel’s biggest films. Advance ticket sales for the film have already broken Fandango’s presales record for superhero movies.

The film is expected to pull in $139 million in its opening weekend, according to estimates from analysts at Box Office Pro.

“Black Panther” boasts a predominately black cast. The film is based on the comic books created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1966 about T’Challa, also known as the Black Panther, who is the king and protector of a fictional isolationist African nation, Wakanda, the world’s most technologically advanced country.

“Black Panther” was the first superhero of African descent in mainstream American comics.

^Did you just put Ant Man in the top 6? NERDFIGHT

Thor Rag was great but I liked all the Caps more, Avengers 1, and GotG1. Maybe IM1 too.

Can't wait to see this movie. I'm not a hugh comic book / superhero fan but outside of the historical value of this movie the trailers are enticing.

I had to laugh. Some dum dum here at work asked why they had to have a black superhero, esp after the black panthers. Yes, he is supposed to be a grown man.

I'll give them a chance on Netflix when I have some time but for some reason when the movies were released, I just never felt obligated to see it like I did the rest of the Marvel films.

I think the first Thor is one of the best Marvel movies. It had heart and real story and not just smash, blow up... Any Man was a lot more enjoyable than I thought it would be. I did not like the casting of Paul Rudd at first but thought he knocked it out of the park.

I dont know. I think this ranks up there. This one definitely has its own flavor, and has more depth with its overall glass ceiling shattering cultural display, as well as a message regarding humanity and responsibility.

I think I still like the Guardians movies the best because they are so fun and unique.

My expectations were too high for this movie. I liked it but didn't love it. I'd certainly say it's worth seeing.

Top Pro: great storyline.
Top Con: too overhyped.

The numbers are in.

'Black Panther' shatters box office records, heading toward $218.2M - BI

"Black Panther" earned the best-ever opening weekend at the box office ever for February with $192 million over three days and $218.2 million over the four-day Presidents' Day weekend.
It's also the fifth-best opening ever for a three-day and four-day opening weekend, beating out 2015's "Avengers: Age of Ultron."
