Movie: Batman (Reboot and Title TBA)

The bigger thing is that Warner Bros. has Ryan Reynolds tabbed to be Bruce Wayne/Batman once the Chris Nolan series is finished with the upcoming DKR...

Interesting.

you mean a continuation AFTER the dark knight rises, not a reboot.

still, without Nolan it won't nearly be as good.

Rightfully so. When you have a project that is so connected and immersed with certain director/cast, there's no way to just hand over the project to somebody else except in the rarest of situations.

Knowing Nolan, I would think #3 will tie up the story well. I'd rather there be more, but it is better than having a dark sheep 4th movie around.

So if they do a Justice League movie, Batman and Green Lantern will be twins?

The only promising news in that article is that WB wants Duncan Jones to direct. Hopefully, that part will pan out but they'll cast somebody else as Batman.

Why would the Green Lantern have to be Hal Jordan?

I like Ryan Reynolds...and Green Lantern being a giant suckfest had nothing to do with him. The writing alone was enough to drag the movie down.

That said...I don't think he is proper casting for Bruce Wayne either.

But who would have thought an actor who played goofy comedic roles, and did it well would pull off captain america either? Although you can argue that Chris Evens pulls off the look of Steve Rogers.

Reynolds has a look and wit that suit other comic characters...such as Deadpool (just not the shit version in the shit Wolverine Origins movie)

As much as I LOVE the Nolan Batman films...I think Bale can be replaced...I don't think of him as the quintessential Bruce Wayne...and the batman growl gets old.

Don't get me wrong, he is great. I like him. But I don't think he is the definitive.

I could never get into the Batman Beyond universe. Giving Batman a superpowered suit just kills the character.

The suit was just an evolution of of batman's utility belt. designed initially for an aging Wayne.

The kid, Terry, was street smart and physically tough with fighting skills. Having Wayne watching over him as a mentor and "big brother" was a great interaction between the old and the new.

Try giving it another shot if you can.

Yeah, they have been talking about it for awhile now. But if I remember...its not the shite deadpool from the Origins movie. Buts its own more faithful deadpool movie.

Well he is a good Batman, I'm curious if this will be pre BvS or post BvS. We don't need ANOTHER origin story on Batman.

I would wager it's a continuation of the grizzled and older Batman. Standalone per the article so probably no Supes.

If DC ever puts Ryan Reynolds in the role of SuperMan or Batman. I will give up on DC. Bale and Affleck are great for DC.
