Lots of good bands in this thread. Lately I've been listening to a lot of different stuff but the ones I find in my CD player the most are Avenged Sevenfold (big fan of Brian Haner), Dillinger Escape Plan, and Every Time I Die.

I missed part of their set, so I'm not sure. Tomorrow night, I might go see Napalm Death, Kataklysm, Toxic Holocaust, Trap Them, and Coliseum

Mmmm been a fan of the newer metal/metalcore/hardcore/death metal/etc. not so much for the oldies, maybe will take a while for me to get accustomed to it. But all in all, much love for megadeth and all them. No hate. Gotta respect those oldies and the new.

Not that I want to invite the ban hammer upon myself, but wasn't this thread created a few weeks before the crackdown on "official" threads? In that event, would a ban be appropriate?

I was gonna say the same thing. Thread was created a few weeks before astro said no more threads with 'official' in the name.

astro is the boss though.

edit: I see Anhedonia viewing this thread, so maybe he was unbanned?

anhedonia is spared teh ban because this is a thread that pre-dates mine. However, if he keeps linking to his blog, I'll be left with no option.

they new album is good, different then what theyve done in the past, not so sell outish. they returned to their roots of a true crossover band. Its incredibly well produced, im listening to it as we speak actually.

if you like them, check out A Day To Remember.. theyre latest album homesick would probably be more appealing then their earlier stuff.

eh i have mixed feelings about them. some of there stuff is incedibly generic and mainstream. I think that This Darkened Heart is a better album then Overcome, more originality. although theyve tightened up there sound and shifted alot towards the hey lets write as much music as we can side of things. i must admit, no matter how many times i listen to them, tattered on my sleeve and focus shall not fail are great songs.

Eh, I've got some oldies but goodies imo.
I used to be in the FL HxC scene but ended up not caring anymore because of all the scene kids and how totally fucked the whole situation got..Still friends with some locals like Into the Moat, Poison the Well and Kids Like Us...Other than that, lol just different stuff here and there. I left the whole shebang and went on to Trance and stuff for DJing lol. Still enjoy a nice Hardcore track or some Metal time and again though

Darkest Hour - Convalescence
Heaven Shall Burn - The Weapon They Fear
Comeback Kid - Wake the Dead<--not really HxC but w/e
Unearth - Endless
August Burns Red - Composure
Everytime I Die - The logic of Crocodiles
Bury Your Dead - The Poison Apple
SkyCameFalling - With Paper Wings<--old stuff

i think comeback kid is one of the only band that plays to the true hardcore roots now adays.. in the style of judge, gorilla biscuits etc. id definetly call them hardcore.

If your into djing and stuff, why not sample hardcore? id be into that. would be fucking sick.

Napalm was actually the very first concert I ever went to. I was 12 I think.. My best friends cousin is Mitch Harris. I think I have seen them 3 or 4 times.

The band my cousin is in, called "Tales."

all of this kind of music sounds exactly the same to me (talentless shit). so I don't know if you would consider it good or what.

Let me know what you guys think.
