^ and I loved the break when the pyramid was at the bottom covering them. Was it that freaky ass video of people running from the "ripple"?

I really think Muse will go down in history as one of the greatest bands of this generation. They have waaaay to many mind blowing songs.

I'll try and find it, but I was watching a Muse concert on Palladia and their singer did this crazy "moonwalk-esque" circular pattern thing during a break of vocals and somehow ended up in front of a microphone at the exact right time.

It's true. Muse is phenomonal but not many people in the States know them except for Supermassive Blackhole or Uprising and those songs don't even scratch their greatness.

3% of good music comes from the states. Americans are too busy listening to Katy Perry and Kanye West.

agreed, I still have that concert recorded, I watched it once a while back, and recorded it again before the concert but didn't get around to watching it. I'm glad I didn't, I think it made the show more enjoyable

Yeah outside of metal, not a lot of contemporary bands that are American that have released a great album in the last few years. But I seem to prefer new thrash metal from the States.

I like their music, saw them live when they opened for Metallica and wasn't impressed. I had enough fun rocking out to the first 3 bands, plus some dumb bitch bumped into me and spilled a 24 oz beer down the front of my pants, so I went home

These guys are bad ass.

Really chill sounding music, if you like Black Sabbath or bands like them, give this a listen.

Warning: Their lyrics are satanist. Like...a lot. lol

tbh I can sympathize with wanting to bail from a concert when shit like that happens. I remember going to Summer Slaughter up here several years ago. The venue was like 110+ degrees inside and this dipshit meathead bouncer refused to let me buy a bottle of water from the bar. The concert was around 6 hours long, too.

Not sure if you guys will be into this or not, but I got to see 3 of my favorite bands last month at the House of Blues in Cleveland (2 separate concerts): August Burns Red, The Devil Wears Prada, and The Ghost Inside. They were all INCREDIBLE. TDWP definitely has the rest beat in terms of lighting and effects though. It was quite a show to say the least.

Here's a few videos I took. Make sure to watch in 1080p!

Saw 'em live a couple of months ago. Had no idea who they were, but their stage show was incredible. Fast forward to now after having both of their albums pretty much on constant repeat...they are the best new rock group I've heard in at least 5 years. They are waaay to good at writing songs to be no names. There are rumors that Dave Grohl sits in on drums occasionally.

Im sure it did, as the others probably did too. The thing about the UK charts is that a lot of people like a lot of things so the stuff that gets popular is a broad array of music, not just pop, country, rap.

Will have to check these guys out.

I haven't been to a good show in a while. Down will be releasing a new EP sometime soon and have begun to release some tour dates

They listen to the same crap music Americans typically do. Brits love to claim that they have superior tastes in the arts compared to Americans.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2013_in...er-one_singles

I see a lot of pop on there. Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Lily Allen, Miley Cyrus.....

http://uk.reuters.com/article/2014/0...A040ED20140106

If "Ke$ha" is the poster child for sloppy American stupidity, why is she so popular in the UK? My point is they're hardly on any higher ground than us 'mericans in terms of musical taste.

Anyways..... anyone noticed a lot of bands (especially older ones) rarely ever book full 50 state tours anymore? I haven't been able to catch Testament since 99% of the time they skip Oregon entirely. I'd have to trip up to Seattle or something to see them. A majority of the bands I like tend to do that

^ I've noticed that as well. Most probably figured out over the years where they do best and stick to those cities, then rotate some of the other places in and out.

Also, I thought you were from Canada

Not exactly metal but some hard rock songs that were being moshed too. Here are some pics from Queens of the Stone Age. I sat in the general admission and got to be right in the front. Was amazing!!!

I embedded a 12 second video below but if it doesn't work, just go here.

Two things I've seen recently with Queens...The No Reservations episode with them is incredible and even more so is the Dave Grohl docu, "Sound City."

Been jamming some Sybreed lately. Singers voice takes some getting used to but damn is it good. Also, working on some drum covers now that I've got my studio up and running. I'm working on some Acacia Strain, which should appease the metal gods nicely. I'll post up once it is complete. I've got others videos up, but nothing metal yet...just old band stuff, etc.

Here is a rough first recording. Drums are boring, lack decent eq, but it is what it is. When I re-record for the video it will be more lively. The song is just a backing track.

I've been dying to see Sound City. Loved the Foo Fighters docu and Dave directed Sound City so it's a win. Hmmmm thanks for the tip on the No Reservations ep.
