Although if she really was hot, $300 might be her line offer. Take it.

Leaving tomorrow to take my wife for her Bday. Staying @ Monte Carlo (first time there). Got a suite for $0 Friday, $69 Sat & $0 Sunday. We always use our players cards and get great rates. We probably average twice a year to LV.

so i guess the remaining southwest travel funds i used last year on my flight to vegas have to be used on a flight that actually happens before 10/29 of this year, even thou the flight was jan 10th or so 2010.
so that means id be paying like 300 bux for tickets, not 200...

maybe i wont go now..

Call them and see what they can do. Tell them you were planning this trip and with the current economy the credit is the only way you can, blah blah blah...

See what they say. SW is pretty good at taking care of customers. If you have an actual flight to book with the credits it will be more probable that they will let you extend the credit.

We ended up booking rooms at the Flamingo. Nov 19-22nd. A couple of my friends going aren't getting many hours at work lately (especially the ones in California) and we didn't want to make the trip too expensive.

Anybody ever tried to bribe a desk clerk for an upgrade to a better room? Some call this the "vegas sandwich". Put a $50 or so in between your license and credit card at check-in and ask for an upgrade. Headed out to Palazzo next week for 4 nights and got the basic room, was hoping for at least something with a strip view.

Good choice on hotel. The 'basic' room is pretty nice for a basic room. At the Palazzo, just ask for strip view. They have usually been pretty good with me and room requests. Be aware that lower level rooms with a strip view will have an hourly view of the TI show, which can be loud during the canon booms. Goes from about 11AM to 9 or 10PM.

Do you have a players card there? I recommend getting one. You should get a coupon for $25 in free slot play when you check in, but will need to get a player's card to redeem it.

Also, while there, any charge you can send to the room vs. pay on CC card do, as you gain status in the hotel by doing so.

Figure it was an expensive hotel, it would take a little more. Worth a try, what's another $50 when i'm $3k in this trip and haven't even left the house yet.

While staying at the Palazzo, do yourself a favor and have a steak dinner at Delmonicos at the Venetian.

Yes, we were supposed to have our corporate dinner at Delmonico, but they couldn't accommodate our group of 27. I have eaten at the original Delmonico in New Orleans, I expect they are the same thing. VERY GOOD! We are now having the big dinner at Bouchon. I just realized we will be there for 5 nights not 4. Maybe the wife and I will hit up Delmonico.

Ach, the only place I like better for steak than Delmonico's in LV is in the Palazzo.

Carne Vino.

Bone-in ribeye for two.

I have gone to Vegas for the sole purpose of eating this. No joke.

This bone in ribeye for two. Do you have to get it for two? What about for one?

Don't joke. I have. I regret it. 1.5 portions is good, though...

Price is $130. $65/person.

A story about one of my friends...

He gets hired for a new job in Atlanta, but their HQ is in Vegas. So he's sent there for training. He's given a work laptop so he can go through training. Before he heads to Vegas he decides to look up hookers on Craigslist so he can have a 3some when in Vegas.

He has the threesome, but the hookers want more money. He says no and kicks them out. A couple hours later the hookers come back with their pimps. The pimps make him go get more cash out of the ATM. They also took his wallet, work laptop, iphone, clothes & anything else he had.

This was all before Day 1 of training.. needless to say he was fired immediately
